It would not surpise me if Rockstar decided to port the game to next-gen consoles, because of XboxLive (and presumably PSN) shutting down in some years. PC is still just "up for consideration".

For the last time, it WILL arrive on PC eventually, just like any other mainstream GTA game. I'm getting tired of having to repeat myself on that point.

As for next generation consoles? Don't get your hopes up. Rockstar have had no chance to gain experience with the hardware / software of those consoles and as such, a port would be extremely difficult and time consuming.

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

The class names "CGameConfig" and the pool configuration on PC looks realistic from a technical point of view, some names and numbers are weird though and some appear to be missing. Only adjusting the task pool for PS4 is a little less than I would expect from its power though. But increasing more values for PC is the same they did for IV. However, an experieced rage engine reverser could have faked it this way too.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

We can hope it will arrive on PC, but it's not confirmed yet. I would be very surprised if it didn't arrive on PC, sure, but it's not confirmed in any way.

The reason folks are skeptical about the PC version coming out is because RDR was never released for the PC platform, which was a huge disappointment for me, really wanted to check that game out.

Other than that, probably no other reason to think the PC version will not be available, in due time.

With that said, I'm really trying hard not to go out and buy an XboX tonight and warm it up with a game of RDR, until Tuesday when GTAV comes out.  Really trying very hard to control my urges....not sure if I'm gonna be able to hold out much longer.

The driving mechanics and car damage in GTA IV were a step in the right direction. It was what made every chase unique and complex. It took skill to drive and better it looked completely realistic in the way the cars moved. Now with the GTA V, the new mechanics, the driving looks cartoonish and more like an arcade game. This is a step backwards. Now if you crash a car, fantastic damage detail is gone, instead you will get the same type of damage as you would from any normal racing game. So every car is essentially a tank now. It is a good thing not to be too much excited about something, like for example GTA V because now I would be very disappointed. I hope that they are going to fix the driving mechanics in the PC version.

One of the very important part of the game is f*cked up. I hope that they will fix driving mechanics in the PC version.

I agree 100%...I could not resist watching some of the leaked footage before I could get my hands on the game...and I was so damn excited until I saw people crashing into things...I was like you have to be kidding right? I am a realist and like for any game I play to be almost a simulation or atleast close to it and now from the looks of things GTA V is going to drive and have damage like a old Gran Turismo game....IT SUCKS!!!

On the surface this do seem like a solid lead, but it assumes that every line of every file is created from scratch. It would seem more likely that this is just a standard template, which would of course contain references to a PC-build, along with any other platforms Rockstar might internally be experimenting on. The presence of a PC build isn’t in and of itself a confirmation of a PC release; It’s just an indicator that, as with most games today, PCs were used as part of the game’s development.
