Cop bitten, slaps boy amid volatile custody battle

Featured Replies

This reminds me of the thread awhile back about "What do you think of people who hate cops". This is just sad. In the video the person filming say "You do not hit an underage child!". So if the officer is bitten by the child he should just stand then and be hurt? No that's definitely not what they teach you in the academy. You're reaction, whether or not he is a child, is to immediately stop the attacker. It's just dissapointing how some people treat police. One minute they hate the cops for, in this case, taking the child away from the mother who had no custody rights and then the next minute they need the cop's help because someone is either robbing them or hurting them. Either you hate police officers or you don't. You can't have double standards like that.

That's all? I watched that and it looked like he barely touched him. Those people screaming sound like a bunch of idiots, and people who video tape the cops hoping to catch dirt on them usually are.

Props to those officers for being so professional. American police seem to be so friendly and lenient. If that situation had taken place in Belgium, both the kid and the guy screaming "f*ck the police!" and making threats would more than likely have been taken into custody for slander and insulting/threatening a police officer. Freedom of speech only goes so far and in my opinion, doesn't justify insulting and threatening an officer for doing his job.

I feel embarrassed for that officer, so many idiots surrounding him.

It must've taken godly restraint to not arrest most of those idiots.

Every time that other kid opened his stupid mouth I laughed at his empty threats.

I agree with all your comments guys, and look at that kid thats saying "let go of the fuckin kid" hes like 13...imagine where his futures going to be. And another thing that made me laugh was the dude with long hair who tried to be tough and then when they told him to back off he just roamed around with his hair in his face, and the one that really gets me is the filmer "they took my fuckin kid too" YEAH GEE I WONDER WHY YOU STUPID ASS HAT.
