LSPDFR

Featured Replies

I believe that the name will be LSPDFR. If you look at the bottom of the page LSPDFR is trademarked by G17. "LCPDFR™, LSPDFR™ and SAPDFR™ are trademarks of G17 Media."

Hah. Interesting. A bit weird for them to trademark a name for a product that they aren't sure will exist, no?

The reason behind the trademark is to prevent others from using it, as it is related to LCPDFR. It does not guarantee there will be a LSPDFR mod.

If there was to be an LSPD:FR/SAPD:FR mod for GTA 5 and founded by G17 Media, then i think they'll just change the name of the site from LCPD:FR to something like "First Responce Modifications" or som

  • Lol, i laughed when i saw "We'll see", and then looked down on your signature :DDDD

  • We can't say at this stage.

Nice thread bump. This topic is nearly a year old! Anyway, it can't hurt to bring this discussion back.

I don't think R* hates modifications, because a few times on the Newswire, they showcased GTA IV mods, including a zombie apocalypse script: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/18541/zombie-invasion-mod-for-gtaiv-pc.html

That's proof alone that they don't hate mods, otherwise they wouldn't share that video and promote the mod. If only LCPDFR was showcased on the Newswire, that would be nice...

You've got a point and I agree with you 100%, my friend, but theres one slight thing, is this here. In my personal opinion I believe that Rock* doesn't necessarily hate mods per say. Just certain

ones and to me, I believe they dont like mods that deal with reversing the role i.e. play as a police officer, fire, etc.

(DISCLAIMER WAITBefore those select few out there that will take my words out of context,

I'm not saying I hate LCPDFR nor Does Rock*.

I'm just simply stating that Its just morally based on how their game environment/gamestyle is:

Robbing banks, Killing Cops, and so forth. Plus you can tell changes they've made in GTA 5 from 4.

For instance you can not at all do vigilante missions as you could in 4, you cant really buy out of all the costumes and ridiculous apparel

an officers uniform you not even a part of it at that. From the last time I played that is...

Oh and yes, I do know about the trooper uniform

thats naturally giving to everybody after completing that one mission.)

That being said, its just the little things you notice in the new GTA 5 after trying multiple ways to get a police cruiser, do a simple patrol, attempt to dupe a car

[Which they patched, the dupe that is: DUPE Meaning duplicating cars. For those of you who don't know. ]

which ended up killing the vibe of even trying to have some sort of patrol or basically trying anything Law Enforcement related in the game.

So basically what it boils down to me, once again in my opinion that they aren't really too fond ( I wont say hate ) of the police community sorta.

NOW I KNOW SOME WILL AGREE AND SOME WILL NOT WITH MY OPINION, I'M JUST STATING WHAT I BELIEVE COULD BE IT.

The reason behind the trademark is to prevent others from using it, as it is related to LCPDFR. It does not guarantee there will be a LSPDFR mod.

So basically, Correct me if I'm wrong. But I think that its copyrighted for that, "Just in case" moment that may suddenly arise.

I'm just spitballin here but I have good feeling that could be the reason! :D

"The only advantage of exercising every day...Is that you die healthier!"

When and if GTA V comes out for PC, and if it supports mods and if LCPDFR is made for GTA V, will the site still be called LCPDFR, or LSPDFR?

I'm just wondering...

They might just reupload LCPD:FR, then title it "LSPD:FR". Why would a mod say "LCPD:FR" if it's not in Liberty City:/

I like that our Moderators are being ready, just in case we are able to mod V & somehow create LSPD:FR.  There's a lspdfr.com site too, but it's just a exact imitation of this site, home page (http://www.lspdfr.com) being the Error page.

Anyway, I really hope that our modders will be able to crack V open with a sledgehammer & let it be as moddable, if not more, than IV. At least for SP, if not MP.

If my post made you laugh (or giggle) in any way, smash that blue grey "Like this" button & like it

What about San Andreas Highway Patrol, Los Santos County Sheriff's Office...

LSPD isn't the only agency you know.

Don't forget about the San Andreas Park Rangers. I believe Park Rangers are law enforcement in the US.

Cheers.

we'll, you can't call it SAPD:FR. That's not what they are called anyway. If anything LSPD:FR could only be in the Los Santos area. They might make BCSD:FR (Blaine County). Who knows.
