A while back i think they said they were improving the cops actions. Not sure though could be wrong, but i'd say there may be a chance of less stupidity of the police but not fully.

I've just watched 2 minutes of cops jumping off a cliff at half past 11 in the evening... And somehow it was pretty funny...

 

And I don't know if that'll ever get fixed :P

I'm confused, are you hoping that the terrible AI of Police will be fixed in the next version of LCPD:FR or in GTA V?

Either way I don't want it fixed.

It's fun! And hilarious too!

Rockstar said that their have a much better AI system.

Specially the cops, they have been improved with lots of new features, such as spikes and better animations.

 

 

It will be a little better but not by much. AI actions to do there own actions is really really hard to get right. Basically its no different then trying to program a robot to take out the trash or something like that. Its extremely hard and no one has ever been able to get it to work the way they want it. (with out scripts leading it every foot) I would say GTA has some of the smarter AI out there, compared to other games they are the smartest. Hopefully rockstar will make a break through with it.

That first vid is very well done, funny too.

 

God I love this game.  They do a pretty good job with the AI, not perfect (at all), but pretty damn good and it will just keep getting better.  I can't think of a game that has a good random AI with all the little nuances.  The random peds really make the city feel alive and breathing...not even TES get's this close and I really dig Oblivion and Skyrim.

In the new gameplay trailer you can see the cops crashing into each other and the swat suv crashing through the fence. So I don't think the police AI has improved dramatically but I know the wanted system is different and you can escape the cops by staying out of sight which is an improvement over IV in which the cops always knew where you were.

 

I think the police AI is fine they are not to hard or easy I hate the cops in mafia 2 they just kind ruin the game.
