Ok i downloaded some ENB settings and it lruns otherwise good, but when im using Bxbugs123 cars, it starts texture lag, same with traffic flow v5. So is it ram or is my videocard bad.

My specs:

Phenom II X4 3.2GHz

3GB 333MHz

ATI HD6850 1GB

3GB @ 333MHz - Definitely the RAM. Small and slow. I'd recommend throwing those 3GB out and going for 6-8, minimum 800MHz

Ok, thanks. I going to buy 8gb DDR3 :).

Make sure that your system actually SUPPORTS DDR3. 333MHz seems more like a speed DDR2 would have. You can't upgrade from DDR2 to DDR3 without changing the motherboard. The RAM won't fit!

That would make more sense. If it's 1333MHz there is no need to trash the existing three, just upgrade.

I am always so impressed about how much people know about computers some times. If I ever need tech support I might have well just PM one of you! Awesome posts guys! xD

No it doesn't. It's either DDR2 or DDR3, it won't have both. They have different architecture as to how they work, and that processor is an AM3 socket so it runs DDR3. I have a similar processor. And the speed is 1333mhz, not 333mhz. RAM hasn't been that slow since the early 2000's. And your video card is decent enough. Don't crank everything to high, but it should be able to run things on mostly high settings once you get a bit more memroy. 4-6GB is plenty.

You sure man? My motherboard has 2 DDR2 slots and 2 DDR3 slots. It's a weird AM2+ motherboard, which supports AM2 and AM3 or some crap.

I can't say I've heard of two types of RAM slots on a single board, ever, but maybe some weird manufacturer like Foxconn or ASRock made something like that. I'd figure that would mess with the front side bus, like it would have to alter its speed according to the RAM, god forbid if someone put in both types at once. I could be wrong.

Oh, and socket AM2+ and AM3 are interchangeable. Different than AM2 though.

I think I have an ASUS MB. Yeah, it says on the manual that putting both in at the same time can 'damage' the motherboard.

I've only used DDR3 on this though so yeah.

I'm guessing by damage they mean brick the board, meaning you'd have to RMA it and wait 3 weeks to get a replacement (if it's under warranty). Nice. lol I use an ASUS also, an M4A79T Deluxe. Great company. I don't know which engineer thought having two RAM types on the same board was a good idea or an intelligent use of space on the silicon, but whatever. lol

I havw ASRock N68C-S UCC, but its not possible to run both DDR2 and DDR3 same time. And relly, my ram is 333MHz, SIW says so.

I realize that now too, but at the time where I bought it DDR3 was still more expensive than DDR2, and I didn't have much money to spend on the computer.

Okay, so I think I finally have this straightened out. lol

That's your motherboard, right?

Those are the base clock speeds of DDR3 RAM.

Those charts lead me to believe that you have DDR2 RAM, but only if the speed you have is the I/O Bus clock, not the memory clock. Memory clocks don't go that high apparently. So that would mean you have DDR2 PC2-4200.
