All I know is that ELS 7 is much more stable than ELS 6. For those that are having issues after 10-15 mins with ELS 7, I recommend you uninstall mods and re-install all mods starting with LCPDFR. Or just stick with ELS 6 if that works for you better.

I got mine working be re-installing lcpdfr and ONLY copying the ELS7 files. Not the scripthook files. Seems to have fixed it. (Not sure if it's actually the issue)

Yes i happened to be one of those people.   Crashing about 50% of time and not ever really able to play for more than 45mins cause at that point it is almost 99% likely to go dead.  I stopped playing the game for weeks at a time because the crashes ruin any fun with the constant restarts and i 'd rather do something else.   But i went ahead and tried tweaks, the dreaded reinstalls and tried reading forum topics to figure things out or find new info.  The info about ELS 7 stability was really promising and it did come true after all.

 

 

I see people posting about running ELS6 no probs and once they switch to ELS7 it crashes. Going right back to ELS 6 and all good again.  And they assume something is buggy or broken with ELS 7.

That is about as far from the truth as you can get.   It is very likely that ELS 7 using about twice as many key commands than ELS 6 is causing some conflict with either another script/mod/GTA4 and who knows what is crashing out.  It doesnt mean there is anything wrong with ELS 7.

I had to deal with the same type of bullcrap when i tried playing.   First two times i had ELS 7 on i crashed shortly after loading the safehouse.  Tried looking at the ini and seeing if anything is set oddly and i noticed the plethora of new keybinds.   With GTA itself and 3-4 other scripts installed,  I thought the heck with it and changed all the ELS 7 ones to keys i know aren't used.   With so many variables at hand,  i played it safe by rebinding most of the ELS 7 keys rather than messing with the 3-4 scripts (or removing them entirely) and have to remember new keys for all those...

 

 

If you have a fresh install of GTA IV, LCPDFR and finally ELS 7 that is causing crashes then you may have a encountered a new possible issue.   That would be a valid complaint that you should bring attention to.   

 

 

 

For me ELS 7 and definately Yard1's thread on Large Address issue solved the major issues for me.   These are the 2 critical things that has me playing a lot more lcpdfr.  I don't think you can upvote Yard1 enough nowadays.

 

So from my opening post of 99% chance of crashing after 45mins to..   0%!!  I have not had a random crash since ELS 7 released.

 

Longest playtime was 2.5hrs.  Running at about 35-45% traffic density that i feel keeps the traffic going not too little and not too much.   I have 10 ELS cars flashing on my screen and i am recording gameplay as well.   FPS goes to the crapper at times of course.      

 

I have had 4 "user side" crashes.   2 of them are from the key conflicts from the first install.  And 2 from spawning too many cars..   Both fixable by the user.

 

BUT NO random crashes since installing those 2 items,   rebinding my keys,  removing and testing all the scripts i use one by one if i have to.....  and once again the dreaded fresh installs..

 

I am super happy about this and i'm sure it shows because half my post count is on giving tips and helping troubleshoot ELS 7 whenever i can.

I have an above average PC and ELS 7 seems to work fine for me (better than ELS 6 by far). Some people go wild on installing many car mods which as you know weighs down your PC performance, especially if you have a PC like me or worse. And that contributes to game crashes also. Every persons game issue is a little different from the next. All you can do is troubleshoot until you figure it out i guess.

 

i have a worse problem, the game would load i have no time to even move and it crashes i replaced the ELSS7 files one by one and tested the game my result was its the ELS.asi file. I am asking anyone for a solution to this horrible probllem.

I was just woundering how to get it to wrk? I installed it but nothing happens when I hit the keys.. also i'm having trouble with the Braveheart's Policing Script 2.4.2.. same thing I hit the keys and nothing happens.. i'm running on windows 8 so if any one can help I would appreciate it ty.... Els 6 works just fine for me but I would like to use els 7..

I have installed ELs v7 and my game starded crashing when im near the Broker police station. Im using LCPDFR, police helper and some car mods. Anyone know why game is crashing? Im reinstalling game now, is it better to instal ELS v6 or v7?
