Now that I have installed ELS 7 I want shiny new cars to go with it, so what do you think are the best. Im not bothered about driving SUV's as I prefer the capris and crown vic type cars.

there are very few els cars that don't work with 7. Almost all of the cars work

There also is like...2 ELS 7 only cars too. But I dont see how they can be for ELS 7 only..but...whatevz

They can, since ELS 7 has new features, for which cars can get optimized. If you take those optimized cars and run them with ELS6, not everything will work as it should.

I too thought all ELS cars would work. Thats a bit of a pain aint it.

So where are the cars that are ELS 7 approved?

As Break said, they all work, it's just that the cars made for ELS7 are well optimized.

But you can play with ELS7 + previous ELS cars, just tweak a bit the ini file for the car if necessary.

You misunderstood Break. All ELS cars work on ELS 7. Not all ELS cars work on ELS 6 - some only work well on 7.

I only like to download cars here as I know they have been tested. :)

Other sites only care for hits.

Also, do we copy the contents of Vapid_Liberty.ini over the contents in els.ini ?

Also: The individual car config files go in the ELS folder in your game folder. Then, in ELS.ini, you find the slot you installed that car to and change File from default_config to the appropriate thing. For example, if I wanted to install a car with the config file lcpd_taurus.ini to police2, I'd put the file in my police2 slot, then go into ELS.ini, find [POLICE2], and change "File = default_config" to "File = lcpd_taurus".

That's the whole point of vehicle config files - it makes it easy for modders to distribute settings for their cars, and for you to install those configs.

Although this car isn't exactly MADE for ELS 7, I find it works pretty damn well. I've only tried the traffic version with full wraparound bars, but it looks really sweet.

Right so I put in Vapid_Liberty.ini so that it says:

 

[ POLICE ]

Status = on

File = Vapid_Liberty

Hey I know one great car for ELS v7 , the car is on gtapolicemods.com . Bxbugs123 Caine unit K9 . I have that car , and it looks so cool with ELS v7. :D

 You can sometimes get really cool unintended results and some unique flash patterns with unoptimized ELS cars.

Yes they will. Set SECL to drct mode in the INI; you can set the pattern to be identical with the various ELS 6 patterns. drct brings back the old arrowstick functionality.

If I was accepted into a british clan I would require realism. For now im not as bothered about realism - just fun :)
