I have to call you two out on the 'countdown until close' theory. Make fun of the American law system all you want, but here is nothing illegal about the mod itself. Otherwise this sort of action would have been taken years ago with GTA III modding. Also the developers would be pretty cold hearted to have something like this happen and not inform their beloved community. Rockstar North also cannot pursue legal action overseas. American copyright laws don't apply in other countries. They'd have to get their UK satellite studio to file their own claim. Oh, and 'Agent' is not a police game. It's a political espionage & assassination game, like Bourne Identity.

I think it's clear to everyone that that was just a small trolling fun to not reveal what the countdown is really about, it's no fun anymore if we tell everyone what it is for (I even asked Jay about it before posting and he thought it was funny), and in case you feel offended by the "American Law" comment, well sorry, you have to say that it is normal in America that companies and individuals sue each other constantly; and I don't say this as USA-Hater, but as half American.

Coming back to the countdown, don't speculate, just wait 7 Days, it'll be a surprise for you guys, and the best surprises are those of which you have no idea what they will be about.

Jay told me what the timer is about :( G17 recieved a call from R* yesterday evening, telling them that they should stop developing on the mod, since they plan on making a policegame already (Agent). G17 Media needs to bring down the website in one week and that's what the timer is about. Sorry, that I told them Jay. They need to bring the website down, 7 days is R* deadline, before they bring legal action.

This makes me sad :(
