An evoque.. interesting.

I have a rover, one of the real ones they no longer build. It likes the woods :)

Can't see buying a new one though. If i go with the street unibody lifted car approach, i prefer Gl, Q7 and other equally useless and expensive to maintain vehicles.

Yeah, it's really nice for handling the narrow roads in the Vicenza area and it's got amazing horsepower and handling for what I need it to do. But, a Q7 would be pretty amazing. Audi does make pretty incredible cars, and getting an ungoverned one is incredible.

  • I wouldn't have a problem driving modern european cop cars, but I can't stand the sirens France and other European countries use.

  • Cops dislike civilians who drive Crown Vics/cop cars. They will think there's something wrong with you or think you're a wannabee.   I drive a 1988 BMW E30 M3.

I'm an EMT for a volunteer company and due to our rural area it sometimes takes ambulances up to 30 minutes to get to where they need to be. My department has permission from the state to have lights and sirens put on our personal vehicles. I have the permission of the Sheriff, and the fire chief. All the lights are white and red only, no blue. And actually it's illegal to drive with lights and no  siren. It's both or none per state law. Therefore I am breaking no laws. :)

Its not illegal to just have the lights and not the siren. Its the other way around if you have the siren and no lights then its illegal but , I know in in bigger city's 1st responders can't have any sirens, they can only put on there lights and drive I think its 15 over the speed limit.

But it could be different in rural areas =D

I can understand why it would be illegal in big cities. Up here we cover over 400 square miles with only 2 ambulances. So we pleaded our case to the sate to allow us to first respond 10-18. we cover 4 different fire areas, and some of those fire departments have what they call first responder rigs (old ambulances or SUV's fully marked with "**** fire dept." on the side" but if we aren't on a fire department we're able to use our own cars with lights and sirens. BUt we know that we had better not abuse it otherwise we have to say bye bye disco lights. and that would make me a very sad panda.

Lol it is not an issued car. My dad works for the FBI and he always used the motor-pool Crown Vic. I guess he liked it a lot since he bought this one as a personal car. The only things he has in this car is a laptop and a 12V powered dash light (which he removes if I ever drive it). So yeah, I do drive it sometimes.

Small world! I am SURE I saw this same car near the FBI Baltimore buiding on March 1st. (I even took a pic of it)  Was your father working that day? Sorry if this is too personal!

Wrong car the one only had one spotlamp.

I drive this baby:

2005 Ford F-350, Federal Signal Jetstream Light bar, clips on either side so the light bar can flip down an go underground.

My personal car is a 1998 Mercury Mystique, but we don't talk about that.

As for light's it is against the law for tow truck drivers to have red/blue red/white light's so we have to have yellow, Nova Scotia is pretty strict about lights no red/blue no blue/blue no red/red just white yellow or anything that doesn't signify emergency vehicle. (which a tow truck IS a First Responder)
