I meant that they are in the state of Virginia. As for the rest of the police departments I posted (except AST) I meant they are in the state/province of XXXXX

They're not in the state of Virginia. DC isn't in Virginia. The DC police operate in DC. They do not operate in Virginia.

The District of Columbia is under direct federal administration. It is not part of any state. No state government has any sort of authority in the district.

Not only is DC not in Virginia, but no part of DC was ever part of Virginia. When DC was founded, it was established on land ceded from Maryland and Virginia. Before the Civil War, the Virginia part (the bit south of the Potomac) was ceded back to Virginia. The entire city now is on land originally ceded from Maryland. However, DC is not part of any state in any way, shape, or form, and has never been since it was created as a federal district back in the 18th century.

Don't we all know the LAPD are the best, most loyal, most straight up and hard working police force?

 

The LAPD is one of the most corrupted police departments in the country. Same with Chicago, the FBI has threaten to shut them down multiple times but they don't have enough resources to cover that big of an area. Only reason why they haven't been shut down and remade from the ground up.

I disagree with that. All police departments work just as hard and have the same dangers to deal with. No one police department is better than an other.

I do agree with you, They should be kept in the main city of LA such as downtown and possibly Hollywood. They need to recruit more mentally stable officers. But I can see Anaheim Police Department isn't too far behind on corruption.
