Is it possible to add more slots for cars?

Is it possible to add another file to replace with a mod? For ex: Create police5.wft and police5.wdf or whatever

There is a "morevehicles mod" out there, adn it gives you all the EFLC vehicles for GTA IV including polce 3,4 and b.    Just google it and they will be around somewhere!

There is a limit to the number of cars the game can have, but you can add new ones, as long as you modify all needed files.

The other issues are that the LCPDFR database will not work on added cars, nor lights and sirens (unless using ELS).

ELS lights and sirens only work if the added cars are named police3, police4, or policeb. Coincidentally, non-ELS lights and sirens also work on those same slots. (these are the extra cop slots in TBoGT, but IV is coded to treat them as cop cars as well). LCPDFR's computer still doesn't work with them in IV, though. This means that, among other things, if you pull someone over and decide to run their license that you have to track down an IV police car to get to the database before you can finish the stop.

Also, policeb's siren doesn't make cars pull over, in IV or EFLC.

So how do I add police3 or police 4

There are mods for it that have it done for you.  If there isn't one here, I know there is one over on GPM.

Could you please provide the link?

Ah, I don't use ELS but I swore people say it works on non-police slots.

And actually, the "policeb" thing isn't entirely true. When I had a bike installed in the slot, it didn't work, but I have cars installed there and drivers pull over like normal.

ELS works in non-police default IV slots, but it seems to just go through the list of GTA IV cars and see if each one is enabled (instead of checking all the section headings to see what cars to pay attention to, it checks the cars to see if there's a section w/that name)

Use them together, you might have to edit some files yourself, just read the readmes in them and follow the instructions

So how do I add a car to those slots? No .wft or .wtd files. Only .img file.

Read the instructions given with them.  I installed them almost a year ago, I cant remember how to do it.

"Just place everything with in the Grand Theft Auto IV folder into the correct spots in your GTA4 Directory.

You can also just drop the Grand Theft Auto IV folder into your Rockstar Games folder and it will place everything in the right spot.
But I recommend you adding it in on your own.

The trainer.ini is for Simple Native Trainer, if you don't have it, get it.  But if you have another mod that can spawn added cars, then use that.
The bike is called policeb.

If it doesn't work, which it should work, then message me on LIVE, Xfire, or GPM.

Thanks! And play nice out there!

This mod is supposed to add an extra police car to gta iv.

Put the files here:

carcols.dat

Nothing mentioned about a .wft or .wdf file. So does that mean when I put those in my GTA folder it will automatically create a wdf and wft file?

The vehicle.wfts are in the .img file.  You're gonna need to combine them, so just add a model named Police3 to the Policeb one, or PoliceB to the Police3 one, your choice.
