Liberty City Preservation Project

Featured Replies

Many may not know but the Liberty City Preservation Project just released their first public version. It's a million times better than the old Liberty City Remix mod. However, LSPDFR working on it is a gamble. It works for me but others it don't.

The devs stated that it's issues with RPH that is causing this. Hopefully that can get fixed soon. Some callouts work most don't. My request is if you have made a callout plugin and you can get lspdfr running on the map please consider adding liberty city calls to your plugins.

Just wanted to get this out there to bring more attention to the LCPP mod and maybe developers can keep this in mind.

I don't usually go for map mods. But I installed L.C.P.P just out of curiosity. Just the emergency vehicles you get with it it alone are worth it. Ladder trucks, working tillers the list goes on.

Could contain: vehicle, land vehicle, building, taxi, outdoor, road, wheel, street, yellow, automotive lighting, transport, city, night, driving, car, sign, light

It really is amazing. Now only if we can get the RPH team to fix whatever is incompatible and devs to update their plugins to allow callouts to function there would be a dream!

big bump, would be amazing to have some callouts that work for this map. other than that, LSPDFR has been working just fine on the map other than some minor issues (backup needs to be redone because it calls in LSPD instead of LCPD, etc)

Could contain: screenshot, darkness, fog, outdoor, night, street

I would not get your hopes up too much, as it takes quite a bit of work to support another map and everything that comes with it, especially when said map could be DMCA'ed again by T2 at any time.

edit: RPH itself doesn't particularly care which map is loaded.

This is very broad and it's very easy to blame RPH/LSPDFR for things. Without a specific problem reported, it's hard for us to really do anything with this information at all.

The biggest issue I could see is LSPDFR's traffic nodes may not play nice other map mods, although if there's some people who say they've gotten it working, I'd be surprised if that is the issue.

Ultimately it would be a shame for us to look into this mod, spend time and resources officially supporting it and it being removed/DMCA'd by Rockstar. Since the mod may violate Rockstar's single player modding policy, this would be a risk.

If the project is still around in a year or so, and we don't have our hands full with something else, maybe it's something we could look into.

Yeah just relaying what they stated. If you talked to them they could probably give the specifics. Also a dmca at this point and time would be utterly useless. Everyone has their hands on the files already and they are preserved.

Just posted this to bring attention to it and also maybe encourage people to make callouts not necessarily to make it fully compatible with rage that would just be a bonus.

Honestly doubt it would get DMCA'd. You are not monetizing it and LC is not part of any current or near future project of Rockstar. GTA6 is set in Vice City and I doubt we'll see LC added as one of those 'potential map expansions' that the Take Two CEO talked about a while back.

It got DMCA'd.

It didn't get DMCA'ed, as the Discord server said and clarified. They received attention from Rockstar and mutually agreed to take it down. Needless to say, there won't be future updates or compatibility with LSPDFR.

I did a brief look through when LSPDFR crashed when I accepted a callout. The problem with LCPP and LSPDFR is that there aren't any zones listed to spawn vehicles, so any callout requiring a unit to spawn will cause a termination. Just need to find out the zonebinds and put it in the regions files. Hoping a solution comes soon.

Someone posted them in the LCPP discord. There are some issues but lspdfr is still playable on the liberty city map, issues I have encountered:

- Pursuits not working and AI crashing into walls as soon as the pursuit starts

(I assume LSPDFR tries to send them back to San Andreas, also that crashing affects both pursuit ai and backup)

- The halt / stop traffic option in the interaction menu causes crashes

- Callouts with set locations won't work (obviously)

Yes but the problem is you can’t download the mod anymore so making callout packs would be a waste of time as you can’t get access to the mod unless there was someone that wanted to release a new version

you can download it, i recently redownloaded it, its just alittle more sketchy as some people will give you a virus instead

Due to the reasons behind it's removal, its going to be very difficult to find legitimate downloads of this mod from trusted sources. With that in mind, people really should not be looking into obtaining it through people they don't know.

That said, we recognise the mod was a really interesting concept, and we're happy for the discussion about it to continue. Going forward, however, any posts that focus on where to download or obtain the mod will be considered off-topic and will be removed.
