LSPDFR & RAGE Plugin Hook Enhanced and Upcoming Site Upgrades
We're excited to share the latest updates on projects bringing LSPDFR and RAGE Plugin Hook to GTA 5 Enhanced Edition alongside refreshing our entire website - with new features, a new design and a more fluid experience.
LSPDFR & RAGE Plugin Hook Enhanced
With the recent release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition @LMSÂ has been working on porting RAGE Plugin Hook. While still in its early development stages, RPH is now successfully running on the Enhanced Edition with most of the basic features working, including running small plugins and DX12 rendering. In addition, our biggest LSPDFR update ever is currently in closed-beta testing and we hope to have more news on it soon.
Below are some screenshots of these previously console-only vehicles being spawned through RPH in the Enhanced Edition.

RPH on Apple Silicon
As part of the port to the Enhanced version and DX12 support, we have streamlined some core systems, now allowing RPH and LSPDFR to run on Apple Silicon. We're still addressing performance issues and visibility concerns before considering a potential future patch.

Website Platform Update and Invision Community 5
We're in the early stages of migrating from Invision Community 4 to 5, which will transform our entire platform.
This update combines rewrites of Invision Community core features with rewrites of our own software to provide users with a faster and cleaner experience. Community members will enjoy a fresh design and responsive theme that follows your OS dark mode decision. On top of this, substantial effort across the board has been made to fix performance issues.
Â
Most of the changes to our new platform are behind the scenes, but the most visible improvement you'll see, apart from the general design change, is the new editor. This new editor comes with many improvements and is easy to use. It also introduces some new features, like Content Boxes, that will make structuring mod download pages a little bit better.
We hope to provide further updates over the coming weeks and months as we prepare this for release.

alrightdude reacted to Rosebuddy in Liberty City Preservation ProjectIt really is amazing. Now only if we can get the RPH team to fix whatever is incompatible and devs to update their plugins to allow callouts to function there would be a dream!
-
alrightdude got a reaction from Rosebuddy in Liberty City Preservation ProjectI really hope the fr devs add support for it.Â

alrightdude reacted to Rosebuddy in Liberty City Preservation ProjectMany may not know but the Liberty City Preservation Project just released their first public version. It's a million times better than the old Liberty City Remix mod. However, LSPDFR working on it is a gamble. It works for me but others it don't.
The devs stated that it's issues with RPH that is causing this. Hopefully that can get fixed soon. Some callouts work most don't. My request is if you have made a callout plugin and you can get lspdfr running on the map please consider adding liberty city calls to your plugins.
Just wanted to get this out there to bring more attention to the LCPP mod and maybe developers can keep this in mind.

alrightdude reacted to Fiskey111 in L.S. Noir Returns!!It's been a while! Life has been crazy, as always. I've had my second child which is taking up a LOT more time then anticipated (no clue how I thought I'd have more time!!).
Â
Before, in the last update, I showed my nested function which was good for two things:
Impossible to troubleshoot Extremely resource intensive (a case with about 20 scene items (peds, vehicles, objects, etc.) took 4 minutes to parse and load into the editor) I attempted multithreading. That was extremely difficult to implement as it required a substantial rework of the logic and became quite complex. So I dropped it and said this wasn't going to be feasible. That was almost the end of the mod as we know it and is why it has been so long - I just couldn't figure out how to make it work.
Â
But... I decided to take another look with a fresh look on the problem with what I learned in the back of my head.
Â
I have made a major breakthrough. Through the power of generic types and recursion, I am able to accomplish what previously required that hideous nested function (all hardcoded) and over 600 lines has been condensed into 170 lines and only two levels of nesting. The major benefit of this approach - any future updates to the case structure will not require a new editor program as it can handle anything thrown at it. This was not true before - any change to the structure of the case system required manually adding checks in the editor program to include those new changes. As you can imagine, this makes improving the system far more simple. And I as find important things out I can make changes, implement them, then edit cases without wasting time duplicating tasks (and creating bugs). You can see some of the case data below. Â
Â
Â
My initial testing indicates this is the way to go. So I will run some additional testing to validate and continue on!
Â
Thanks,
Fiskey111

alrightdude reacted to OfficerSquare in [SOLVED] LSPDFR Pause Tab MissingI've had a bug recently where the LSPDFR tab doesn't show in the pause menu. This is a big game-breaker in regards to LSPDFR since that's where you select / create / switch characters and change settings.
Â
All posts in regard to this particular bug has been given no solutions, which is why I'm creating this post incase someone runs into it and needs to find the fix - something I couldn't do and had to figure out myself.
Â
For me, if I ticked the setting in RPH "Enable counter measures against online vehicles being removed in singleplayer," it would present to me while I was loading into the game "Fatal error." This also breaks the LSPDFR tab being added in the pause menu.
Â
Solution: In order to get your LSPDFR pause tab back in the pause menu, disable the RPH "Enable counter measures against online vehicles being removed in singleplayer" option. This will stop you from getting the "Fatal error" message on the loading screen and will give you your LSPDFR tab back.
-
I'm sure something like this and many other Mods will come. The Game will have way better Mod Support i think.
-
It would be cool if it does
-
It's definitely a good idea.
People have exhausted almost everything LSPDFR has to offer and Red Dead doesn't really fit for a potential sequel.
The old SA state is a gold mine for police gameplay, you got a broad range of jurisdictions and environments at your disposal, plenty of cop assets such as interiors, weapons and vehicles. I can easily see myself patrolling SF or the desert, maybe crack down on Idlewood's crack dealers or rough up drunken LV tourists.
You also have Vice City, and man oh man don't we all wish to fulfill that old 80s Miami Vice fantasy.
Not a big fan of the 3D era LC but who knows man it might be fun to try police mechanics there.
Â
Please do consider this, we long for a new police experience.

alrightdude reacted to BlueLine Vibes in LSPDFR Crashing"Some Plugins" yikes, would hate to see what it looks like if you install a lot of plugins. First you are using some out dated plugins. Take those out and see if that helps. Easy to see the outdated plugins by just looking at the last date it was added to the lspdfr site. For example Traffic Policer is years old now, Code red callouts is also years old as well. Ultimate back up just had an update, Assorted callouts is years old. My advise is to start fresh and just install mods that are more up to date with the latest lspdfr version.

alrightdude reacted to PequenoUchila in LSPDFR 0.4.9 - Now Available!Sorry.
-
alrightdude reacted to LMS in LSPDFR 0.4.9 - Now Available! We certainly share the concerns mentioned by you and others. However, even if most people behaved "crazy" like you said, there could still be a lot of value in it when looking at tendencies. Is someone even crazier/less crazy when facing event/situation X? It then does not really matter what their overall playstyle is, because you can see nuances depending on the situation. That would still be a very valuable insight.
Â
Â
This is the first iteration of the new system and we plan to add more interactions by the AI such as verbal warnings or ticketing. Those did not make it into 0.4.9 just yet. The only way for you to trigger the new system in LSPDFR itself currently is when calling in a crime. We now consider non-violent, on foot crimes for the new investigative mode. For instance, if an angry pedestrian shoves you (but not punches/fights) and you were to call that in, it would not turn into a full-blown chase where the suspects immediately starts sprinting away followed by police. Instead, they would walk off not knowing they have been reported. If you then were to call in backup, they would slowly approach and confront the suspect just like in the video. There is a chance the suspect might surrender on sight or resist.Â
Â
We have many more plans for the system to "de-pursuit" the whole of LSPDFR in upcoming updates, so stay tuned 🙂

alrightdude reacted to DLM3 in We need lspdfr for cyberpunk 2077I'd love to see it happen. I love CP 2077's police cars though it is impossible to drive the basic patrol car in 1st person with that grill onto the windshield.
Â
Â
Besides CD Projekt just made available several modding tools (no idea how much they help but they seem to support mods more than R*).
Â
Now I don't really picture NCPD officers sitting in their car along the roads to hand speeding tickets 😅

alrightdude reacted to OfficerJessica in Red Dead Redemption 2 - am I the only one not hyped that much about it?If it came to PC I'd be hyped for it simply for mods, otherwise I'm looking forward to it but not massively.

alrightdude reacted to LMS in AI Police StuckIt usually the issue you have described (PoliceIgnore). Have you tried disabling your trainer and a few other mods to narrow it down?

isn’t that saying something already?

alrightdude reacted to Sam in Welcome to the new LCPDFR.comSince early this year, we've been working on a project to drastically overhaul and improve our website and community by upgrading it to the latest version of the community software that we use, as well as building an all new look and feel and developing enhanced functionality and features. Despite serving us well over the years, our website had become a little dated and disorganized, and bringing about profound changes is something we've wanted to do for a while.
Â
Today, we're pleased to welcome you to the new LCPDFR.com, the culmination of our work on this project, which not only features a ton of improvements, enhancements and changes across the board in Invision Community 4.5, but also introduces a brand new, custom-built by us theme.
Â
Our new theme, LSPDFR Retina and its sister theme, LSPDFR Dark (Beta), are fresh, content-centric looks fit for a modern website in 2020. We've worked hard to prioritize content across the board with a far greater emphasis on images and our members. Aside from this, our new theme features a far brighter user interface with better contrast and more saturation than before which blends in to a simpler overall style.Â
Â
Please note that the darker variation of our theme is still in beta, is currently only available to registered members, and there are some elements and colors which are yet to be fully configured.
Â
Additionally, there are a number of other changes to the way in which the community works. @Cyan describes these in full in our LSPDFR on IPS 4.5 Changelog, but here's a summary of the most important changes:
Â
Ignore Lists & Blocking
A new opt-in system designed to give creators additional control over their content. Our enhanced blocking system prevents ignored users from being able to comment on and review both gallery images and files. This feature can be enabled in your Account Settings.
Â
Submission Ratings
Files uploaded by members are now automatically screened according to the member's standing within the community, with certain submissions now eligible for automatic approvals. You can view your own rating in your Creator Settings.
Â
Disable Comments
It's now possible for creators to disable comments when they first upload a new file. Please do note that files with comments turned off may not be featured as prominently throughout the community.
Â
LSPDFR Character Cover Photos
You can now add a cover photo to the profile pages of your LSPDFR Characters, check out an example by @LMSÂ here:Â https://www.lcpdfr.com/lspdfrsync/character/140-kim-orange/
Â
We think that our new website is a giant leap forward for us, and very much hope that you'll enjoy the new LCPDFR.com as much as we have making and designing it for you.
Â
Of course, we're very open to feedback regarding both the new features on the website and our new design, and welcome you to share your thoughts or comments with us below.
Â
Thanks for reading, and welcome to the new LCPDFR.com!
Sam.

I call it Project EMS. The name is subject to change. Essentially, this is a RageHook plugin that allows you for a complete role play of paramedics and EMS. The work has just been started three days ago so I don't have much stuff to show you. Soon I will start making posts about the development process in this topic. Follow the topic if you are interested!
