Im considering getting a DayZ server started, just wondering if anyone here plays DayZ that would be interested in getting on a new BETTER server.?

I thank goodness don't even touch that mod. There are so many children on there. It's annoying. But, if you wish to get a new better server, go ahead, I'm pretty sure people will join it because there are tons of people who play DayZ!

I've never played the modification and I never intend to (I currently have 440 hours on ArmA2OA) . I thought of it as a great/fun idea at first but the Community turned for the worse and dragged a lot of the base game down with it. I will probably try out the stand alone, but for the time being I'll have fun with Fire Teams and Tactical game play provided from the base game and modifications along with that.

I did, but I stopped playing it. I rage quit too much.. I've been meaning to get back to it, though. PM me the server info please.

There is a server that I am an admin on. We have gotchya anti-hack on top of battleye and 24 hour surveillance by a global team of no less than 10 admins from all corners of the globe. Oh, and we have max vehicle spawns too. If your interested, I can send you a link to our server for you to get some ideas from.

In the few months I have had this game, it seems that the very FEW good servers that actually are not DayZ are filled with immature kids who feel like bringing their "skills" to a non DayZ server.

 

i will be sticking to the private servers some buds of mine host every once in a while.

Its nice to see some actual arma 2 players that hate dayz. Its nice that dayz gets ArmA II publicity, but it has grown way too big way to fast and I feel that it has wrecked the community of ArmA II and has changed it from people being about a very realistic military FPS where you carry out military missions, to people talking about nothing but zombie survival. if you go into the ArmA 2 server browser, all you see is a wall of dayz servers, and I feel that this is what arma 2 has come to, a zombie survival FPS. It made me feel good to see that there are some ArmA 2 players out there that agree with me. Dont get me wrong, im sure that DayZ is a good mission and mod, I just hate what it has done to ArmA II and its community. I suggest that if you havent played Arma II outside of DayZ, that you should find a server that doesnt have too many mods, or no mods at all, and play a combat mission, like warfare for starters. I feel that if you haven't played ArmA as what it was meant to be, you should then at least give  it a try, and if you dont like it, then I am sorry that you didn't enjoy it and then I wouldn't mind it if you played DayZ, at least you have tried actuall combat in ArmA II
