Hi guys , this is my opinion , please feel free to share how you think or feel about it . personally i think the arrest part in lcpdfr can be more realistic and better . I hope LCPDFR and Abraxas can work together :)

 

 

this is some of my ideas :D

 

 

As some of you might heard about the abraxas vdh k9 script . inside this script got one feature which is that you point at the target and press period , the dog will chase them and stand beside them right ? (quick attack)

i was wondering why not if possible work with lcpdfr

 

 

can we do this

 

 

when we arrest a suspect , we point or aim at the police car backdoor and the suspect will walk toward the targeted location( car door ). and we walk behind him/her ( car door ) and then we can order them to get in the car back by holding F keys to open the door for them . just like in lcpdfr 0.91

I think its a good idea, and Abraxas should consider doing it for a future LCPDFR update. Maybe putting the officer's hand on the suspect's arm, and walking him to the patrol car can be another feat.

An API is coming in the future, so it should be a bit easier to make mods work with LCPDFR. New features are probably planned for the mod proper, too, so who knows what we'll see.

This is not gonna be easy. I do have a little background on scripting. It will take very long to happen too

Is what i suggest hard ? since in vdh k9 script got this feature whereby you aim or aim target and press period or . The dog will attack them . So what come to my mind is why not when you arrest someone . You target or aim the police car ( your car)and then the arrested suspect will move toward the place you pointed . And you walk with him/her to the police car backseat and open the door for them and order them to get in .

Scripting both together is gonna be a little difficult I believe. Correct me if I am wrong. Well it can be done but it's not gonna be easy

What Abraxas Can do is script this

 

 

- Point at location that you want to the suspect to go to . just like in Vdh k9 script. where you point at the target and and order your dog to attack

Again, the devs have said that an API is in the future (not near future, but it is apparently coming). That would be WAY better than specific changes to make it work better with specific mods, because an API lets anyone make mods.

It does not allow ANYONE to mod, it just helps other peoples mods talk with LCPD:FR allowing their mods to activate features of LCPD:FR.

As I said before, making anything work with LCPD:FR is sometimes really hard. Not because LCPD:FR has bad code or something, it is brilliant, but because mods just can't talk to each other. I spend whole day only trying to make reliable check if ped surrender and it still isn't 100% reliable.

With API that would be 1 line of code. API for LCPD:FR is in the works, and I'm in contact with LMS, but I have no idea when it will be available. Till then I will try to avoid writing features that would normally need API (many callouts don't ;) ).

Abraxas, when you saw the topic title, did you think it was going to be a review of your work? lol, some titles around here huh.  :D

I dont want to seem rude but I am sure that abraxas already has a bucketload of requests for scripts and probably has two bucketloads of script ideas he has for when LCPDFR becomes compatible with scripting. 

That's right. For now I try to accept only requests for callouts and events, but the list is already very long. But I'm always open for new ides, just for now I don't want to create tools and features that will be way easier to create with an API. Reworking prisoner transport is something like this. Also we don;t knoiw if prisoner transport will be the same as in RC2, so trying to script it now is pointless.
