Low FPS????

Featured Replies

Okay two problems here, first unless i'm on the clockwork mountain map mod I only get under 20 FPS (On it I get the normal gta FPS), even with everything uninstalled I still get low FPS, why??? Second issue, I have to use xlive for the game to work and you're probably thinking "re-install the game and/or re-install GFWL" iv'e tried both and still it does not work. I'm running 1.0.7.0. on a Dell XPS 8300 with windows 7 home premium, 8.00 GB of ram and a intel core i7 processor.

Iv'e tried a commandline, Iv'e tried the thing where you disable those to microsoft things, Iv'e tried about everything.

It could be your video card then, if you have an unmodified copy of IV and you still have low fps try lowering your graphics settings, that might help

Well, if your mods are removed, the graphics settings don't help the problem... could there be a program that is causing it? Like a anti-virus program or something doing a scan on your pc?

I have AVG PC tuneup 2013 and AVG 2013 virus protection, but I know that's not it because I had it uninstalled for a few days and it didn't boost FPS at all

Wow... I think I asked you about every possible thing that could cause thit problem... and I still don't know. Is this problem new, or has it been like this for a long time?

I actually get rather great fps on clockwork. few sections come down but nowhere as bad as others have reported. I no longer use it because it sped up my memory leak issues and because it sucks for traffic and lcpd

Well I uninstalled it A few months ago and re-installed it a few days later because of backup issues, then it started, oh and I installed it on the Gamestop App if that makes a difference

I have a CD copy. I don't think downloading it from gamestop or steam or just installing it from a CD causes the problem. the only thing I could think of is a mod that you installed, but if you removed it, there should be no problem. You could fix it by re-installing the game again though... I think that might be the only way to solve the problem...
