So this is just my personal opinion from the trailer. I don't think that they will implement and sort of ELS or light bar. Rockstar is lazy, and even though most departments, even my little town, uses led lights. i just don't think its realistic anymore to have hologen. Don't get me wrong hologen in real life is amazing and how it started, but i just think from a gamer perspective, I want led lights. it will help mod creators and just the overall community. To end on, in the trailer they show a convertible using "EPM" it doesn't make sense to me why they would use that technology and not simple lights. Anyone have any comments or ideas.

I agree with you, if they have a car that has an option to open and close it's roof, then the lighting needs to be significantly improved as well...

^ true but it feels more legit when you have led flashing lights behind you as you are getting away from the cops it feels more real and youd wana take them more serious its an adrenaline rush vs halogen its like ohh just annoying cops again rockstar needs to improve the cop car lights

funny because none of those really need work.

 

traffic needs work the most. appearance of scale as well. for as big as gta4 is, the actual drivable area straight line wise is mediocre. i would love actual freeways. i guess that goes under traffic

 

and bugs. hopefully if they make it pc they will do a better port

Agree. Pretty much hits the hammer on the head

By the Time i played GTA 3 or Vice City i didin't care about it either.

 

I would love to see R* would care more about the Police Aspect of the Game. But it won't happen

Its not even about looks, if anyone plays need for speed, they have amazing graphics and led police cars. it isn't even the matter of this or that, its how our society is today, we do not use hologen that much anymore, and if this fictional LA then i'm for sure they would have led lightbars

If I'm correct in saying, didn't the NoOSE vehicles in IV have some form of LED Lightbars?

I think the LEDs would be more modern and stylish but gamers don't care if is HALOGEN or LEDs. They just don't care and Rockstar is the same thing, because GTA 5 will be a game to kill ppl, and do mission etc, not to be a cop!

 

But yeah LEDs would be cool...

The noose cars had what looked like LEDs, but they still flash like halogens.

gta v will have leds.

if you look at the pic of trevor climbing the vinewood sign you'll see mirror lights on the suv police vehicles in the back.

im sure they'll upgrade the lights this time around but are still just trying to get them worked out.

through out the trailers none of the lightbars flashed really, just effects on the ground, the lightbar it's self was static.

i think rockstar has been sent enough emails asking for leds lights for them to implement them into their game

Maybe they'll do what they did in MC:LA, Halogen style lightbars with LED effects.
