Officer requiring assistance on...

Featured Replies

So, I have downloaded Braveheart's Policing Script, and I love it. Everything works fine apart from sometimes I will get a call and it will say "CONTROL: Bravo Delta 22, officer requiring assistance on" and that is all it will say. At this point, the game will freeze and I have to force close the game and reload it.

Tried re-installing the policing script? It crashes when you accept that callout or when that one pops up?

Ditto that.  When you get a callout with no street name/location, the game will usually crash.  If not then, it will crash on the next callout.

Good day,

DrDetroit

Certain callouts will freeze the game for me as well, especially the ones that don't have the actual street names in the description.

Yes, this is when I crash. Once I get the call out, I press Y to accept the call, it is when they pass the details that it crashes.

Anyone got a fix yet?

I usually reload the scripts and that fixes it, you can try that.

I try to reload but the game freezes fully so can't type, enter menu or anything.

Try deleting the script and re-installing it, I reload my scripts and it works fine, so another script may be conflicting with the reload process.

I have done this on several occasions, still not worked. Might just stick to the normal LCPDFR calls for now.

Yeah, me too I don't think there is a fix for it... maybe if you contact Braveheart directly, although 2.2 is a beta, so he might be able to fix it.

I just had it freeze on me with callouts disabled, so it's something in the script that causes the game to lock up for some reason. Never had it freeze on me before adding that script.

True I removed it completely, it bugged my game out a lot.

Ya I have played with the script for awhile and just today I responded to a shots fired and it just froze.

Funny, I get these but they don't crash the script or my game. When I see it, I just immediately Alt+Delete and free myself back up. Sometimes, I'll get a bunch in a row, but eventually it becomes normal again. (also, I use ELS and high-poly cars, so while game crashes may be a result of the script, my game is just generically unstable. I have had this happen many times without crashing, though).

That is another way to fix it... by resetting your status on the script.
