The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Infinite RAGE loading screen

Featured Replies

Hi, I've seen a couple posts about this, so I'm not the only one, but they're without solutions.

When I launch RAGE, the screen shows that the plugins load fine, and everything *seems* dandy, but the screen just loads on and on. I let it sit, and after ten minutes of loading and several cycles of the loading music, I gave up. I also attempted removing all of my extra plugins, and my LSPDFR character, but the same thing happened.

I'm honestly at a loss about what to do.

Yeah, I having the same problem.  I can't even get into story mode.  When I open GTAV through the GTA launcher I select Story Mode when it gets to the Selection (Exit, Online, Settings, Story Mode) and after clicking that, about 10 seconds later it crashes back to Desktop.  I think whatever is causing that I think is causing the infinite Rage Loading.  Not sure what's up.  Can you get into Story Mode through GTA Launcher?  I have everything updated, even Packfile Limiter since I use that.

I'm not entirely sure how to do that 😕

I looked in the main directory and there's no gameconfig file, could you direct me to what I need to delete if applicable?

So, I ended up looking on another forum post, and saw Cyan say to rename "Mods" to "_Mods" and my game loaded without a hitch.

Apparently the new update content isn't stable with LSPDFR

I think LMS means to rename your mods folder to whatever, just rename it.  Simply mods_ .  That will "disable" the mods folder and the game will use the game files in the main directory, like the update.rpf where the game config is.

I also in the past, had to Open IV and there would be a banner on top saying that you have an outdated update.rpf in the mods folder and do you want to copy the new files over to replace.  I haven't seen that banner after title updates since the last few updates.  Not sure why OpenIV doesn't prompt that anymore, at least not for me.  After a title update you will have and outdated update.rpf in your mods folder.  OpenIV should tell you that but it doesn't.

The process of renaming your mods folder to _mods is to eliminate LSPDFR as the cause of the problem. If your game then works fine, LSPDFR is not to blame, and you have to fix whatever is wrong with that folder. In general, your mods folder needs to be updated or, failing that, recreated after an update.

Extract the update.rpf from "Grand Theft Auto V\update"

How do you extract the update.rpf? Or where do you extract the update.rpf from?

So, the Gameconfig file fixed my infinite loading screen, but now I seem to have an xml issue, but I can't figure out what file is the issue. It even gives me an exact line, but the address makes no sense.

Try disabling your mods folder.

But I don't want to. Like, it works, yeah, but I lose everything I spent hours editing.

Like, I've got a lot of skins and stuff in there

Sorry I misspoke, just rename it to "_mods" and then try launching, although I doubt this will work.

I'm not quite sure what the issue is here though. Have you edited any XML files recently?

Yup, I have, I was going through the process of installing the EUP Ultimate Configurations list of car packs. I did them to a T.

That's why I'm confused, it doesnt seem to be giving me a straight answer for what path is wrong.

That's gotta be it. Try backing up the configs you made, then replacing them with fresh versions that are unedited.
