Rockstar has twice disappointed me today, it's normal pc gamers to ask if the game will be out for pc, and now they want to make them shut up? damn... that's not a good behavior with that part of their fans.

So, Rockstar Games claims to be very impressed by modding (Which they stated earlier), like the LCPD:Fr mod and vehicles models, but they forget making a PC version for their future Grand Theft Auto game?

That's nice....fuck'em and their asshole attitude then. I can stick with IV and be perfectly content with that. Comments like these piss me off! Apparently Rockstar is going to continue this release cock-tease shit except now it's only going to be with the PC version. Sad really. The longer I wait the more I am going to be disappointed when the game isn't all it's been hyped to be. ESPECIALLY when it's the same ol' Rockstar piss-poor sorry excuse of a PC port pile of after-thought crap. Guess I'm not as much of a Rockstar fanboy as I thought. Just sayin'.

Everybody needs to seriously calm down.

Every single GTA Game has gone through the same treatment yet just because V is possibly one of the best ones to date, people are flipping shit.

I for one don't mind, PC will receive it eventually, it took almost a year for San Andreas to hit PC and IV took a few months.

I'll be getting it on 360 for the sheer enjoyment, then for PC when it eventually hits for the modding aspect.

Same here, I'll play the story on the xbox until it comes out on PC.

GTA, GTAII, GTAIII, GTA:VC and GTA:SA were PC then console weren't they? Either way I'll be getting two copies of this, one on PS3 and one on PC. Still not pleased that they gave us Max Payne 3 at the same time as consoles but GTA V not getting any information. Better not turn out to be another Red Dead..

GTA III first came out for PS2, then PC and then Xbox. The PC version of VC was also released after the PS2 version. Same story for SA.

So yes, it will always be the same, that's sad, but you can't do anything about it, unfortunately.

For all those out here who own a console, just buy the console version, enjoy the story, and then buy it a second time for PC when it's out. What's the problem?

That's what I did with IV, and I'm gonna do the exact same thing with V!

Oh, and BTW, the PC version of Max Payne 3 came out two weeks after the console versions. :wink:

Still within a month of the console versions and they clearly said how much of a delay there'd be from a fair while before it hit shelves, nothing like what Rockstar are doing again with GTAV. Ah well, should all be used to it by now.

Strange that I never played the console versions of the previous GTA games though, only after I played on PC did I find them on consoles. Regardless, still shit.

You know I was seriously considering putting together some sort of a letter or petition simply stating that they should give their PC fanbase the same courtesy of letting us be able to pre-order the game...

My feeble attempt on Newswire comments section...7800 posts, no way they'll react, but hey:

"Here's an idea: Give the PC version the same availability to pre-order. This will show you the devotion of your PC fanbase, in currency and not just talk and complaining. You herald the PC gamers for its modding community consistently on Newswire, from the fantastic LCPD:FR to "Gangam Style" music videos set in GTA IV. Seeing the reaction, in monetary amount, of the PC gaming community's ability to pre-order, you could seriously consider not only creating a quality port, but also moving the release date for the game to PC sooner than later.

If your GTA series has taught us anything, its that money goes a long way in changing people's minds, and, as you state "Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar". This isn't a debate on PC vs Console, or anything of that nature. Look at the bigger picture, and set up a pre-order for the PC version as well to see how much will be gained, and consider an earlier release date within means to send out a quality port."

I'm pretty sure there will be a PC version. But right now, as stated in a comment made by a Rockstar official, they're focusing on the console versions.

So basically, all we - PC players - can do is wait.

Just keep in mind that the more you b*tch about this, the more they'll get pissed off at the whole community. I understand your frustration, I'm frustrated as well, but harassing them with comments definitely won't help getting a PC release any sooner than when they decide.

That will take a long time... Sigh, after all that bullying from Rockstar Games I hoped it would be earlier. Next year, damn...

Here's two high-resolution posters, with the release date. The official GTA V website also says "SPRING 2013".

You guys realize that Rockstar makes much more money from console, right? Not only do more people play it on console, but a LOT fewer people pirate it. Once it's released for PC, there will pretty quickly be cracked versions; by holding off for a few months, they can make money off people who want it quickly.

I've installed a RSS Feeder Addon into my Google Chrome and added R*'s Newswire, with notifications.

Also subbed to notifications of new tweets by @RockstarGames on twitter, soon as they post anything (which is rare), I'll get a push notification on my phone.

I think I've prepared myself enough.

Some more 'leaked' info on the Gameinformer issue about GTA V:

"A user from GameFaqs named AP15 claims to have an early access to Gameinformer December issue. Of course, the December issue info is definitely going to be the Grand Theft Auto’s details.

-You play as Albert DeSilva a half american half puerto rican american

-He is 42 years old and has an ex wife and 2 kids

- the show breaking bad has a little influence on the game as Albert is drawn to the life of crime from an older age for the money.

-Los Santos is the only large city, smaller towns round out the countrtyside.

- Grove Street makes a return, however Carl and Sweet are not in the game.

As an FYI, this Thursday is when GameInformer's December issue goes live online, which will probably be in conjunction with the new trailer set to be released sometime this week. So Thursday we should see a ton more info go out!
