Information

Ped Search allows you to go up to a ped and press the search key (default: 'G' / 'DPadLeft') to frisk them for any illegal items. It works pretty much exactly as Vehicle Search does, and the ini file is set up in the same way.

Installation and Usage

You need the Rage Plugin Hook for this to work. The newest version has been tested with Rage Plugin Hook version 0.34.862.6641 ONLY and may not work with older versions.

When you have that installed, drop both the .dll and the .ini into your Plugins folder. Once you're in-game, press F4 to bring up the Rage Hook console, and type 'LoadPlugin PedSearch.dll' (without the apostrophes). After that, simply press the search key (default 'G' / 'LeftDPad') when near a pedestrian to frisk them.

Configuration

In the included .ini file, you can edit things such as the button/key mapping, what items you can find, and the odds of finding an item. For more advanced users, you can change the animation your character uses as he searches.

Planned Features

Better animation. Want to suggest one?
Ability to find a weapon if the ped actually has one and remove it. Working on it.

Please, give me any bug or crash reports. I'll try my best to fix them.

Great plugin, but when I launch the plugin via Rage Plugin Console it crashes everytime I try to load it in which very annoying.

i think it needs to be updated ive never had a problem with this script before but now its the only mod im using that crashes soon as i load it in rage i could be wrong

I could see what the problem is if you send me your RAGEPluginHook.log.

Can people please send me their crash log instead of complaining without giving me any useful info? I literally just started up GTA V with the latest RPH and the latest PedSearch version (v1.1.1) and everything seems to work fine.

I can't speak for others, but I can tell you 100% I'm not having any issues with PedSearch or Vehicle Search. I can't even remember ever having any issues with either. Both have worked for me ever since I installed them on Rage Plugin Hook v0.21

It's a nice mod and it really makes the experience better. But I also have bugs sometimes. I just frisked a suspect and I found nothing of interesting, however when I released him, he just got a gun and shot me. But, most of the time, it works fine. I frisked a suspect once and I found a case of alcohol and then, when I made the Breathalyzer test, the result showed that he was in fact drunk.

i believe that even though you do a ped search and a breath test, and the ped is drunk w/ a breath test shows Neg proof. everything is random. kinda sucks
