(55 reviews)

6 Screenshots

PLDPlayer Location Display is a script modification that displays the player's current location (including street name or intersection, area name, and region) at the bottom-left corner of the user's screen.

DESCRIPTION
− PLD displays the player’s current in-game location on the screen.
− Location includes street name or intersection, district name, and region.
− PLD also displays the current in-game time.
− PLD allows the user to toggle the size of the radar and provides some informative multiplayer** features.

NOTES
− Consult the FEATURE INFO file to learn more about PLD and its features.
− It is recommended that you disable subtitles (PAUSE > SETTINGS > DISPLAY > SUBTITLES) when using PLD to prevent overlap.
**Multiplayer is understood to be a 3rd party multiplayer mod, such as FiveReborn.

INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.

− 1. Place the .asi and .ini files provided in the download inside your main GTAV game directory.
− 2. Modify the .ini file as you see fit.
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− PLD is coded by Lt.Caine.
− Thank you to Alexander Blade without whose work scripting for GTAV would not be possible.

Alright, let's solve the positioning. If you wanna change where the PLD plugin is located at you need to change the following lines under [GENERAL] LocTextPosX = ??? and
LocTextPosY = ???. I am currently playing at 1920x1080 on windowed borderless, technically speaking it should be the same for fullscreen. Anyhow if you run the game like I do and want the PLD to be in line with the map then insert the following numbers where I previously told you. If this still isn't fine with you increase or decrease one number at a time, Y is for up and down and X is for right and left to explain it easier. NOTE: This is for 1920x1080 windowed borderless!

- LocTextPosX = 310

- LocTextPosY = 1026

If I wanted the position you have, but at the top of the screen instead, would I add - befpre PosY?

Well since 1026 is in line with the map, I suppose somewhere close to 0 would make it higher up on the screen. Can't really say what though since my goal was to add it in line with the map, but try to put it on 100 and go from there.

I don't even know if you can go below 0, perhaps by adding - before the number like you suggested, I am not sure though. But the worst thing that could happen is that it doesn't work, then you can always revert back to the number it was.

Let me know how it goes!

The - definitely works because I got it on the top of the screen.  The issue is that it's at the very top, to the point of cutting off.  I wasn't exactly sure how to lower it.

LocTextPosY = -8035

is where it is at now.  I'm not sure if I should go up in numbers, or down.

@Giordano

This is LocTextPosX = 100
             LocTextPosY = 100

If you want it more towards the top left corner. Lower both 100's

Well, the closer to zero you go, the closer to the center on the screen you go. So short answer, go towards 7000 and eventually you'll hit the sweet spot!

Having a number as high as 7000 means Gio is from the future and is playing on an 8k gaming setup lol.

the numbers must be between 0-1920 and 0-1080. That is for 1920x1080 res. The numbers cannot go negative. That will throw it off screen.

That is very true, but Gio did say it was currently at -8035 and it was barely on the screen making it cut off. So he must play at a bigger resolution, right?

Does anyone know if the keybinds "Ctrl, Alt + L" can be changed, and if so, how? I couldn't find anything in the .ini and can't ask the author given they haven't been active for quite sometime. I'd like to match them to my "hide minimap" keybind so I can hide both at the same time.

*EDIT*
Anyone?

For anyone who is having issues running this mod, this is what I did that helped me.  I was having issues getting this mod to work:

At first it was a windows 10 issue (running this on win10)...  It was not the issue.

Then I thought I didn't place the files in the correct directory...  Not the issue.

Read some of the forum posts about a "CTRL + ALT+ L" shortcut...  Didn't have any effect for me/didn't work.

Then I read about updating Scripthook...  BOOM!  Works like a charm now!  Update Scripthook and place the files in the Grand Theft Auto main directory.

Love this 10/10!! For anyone using a 34 inch monitor or above try these settings for better placement: LocTextPosX = 480 LocTextPosY = 1020. just had to play around with it for awhile until I was happy with the placement. Attached are before and after pictures.
