pdComp — Police Computer for LSPDFR

A modern, immersive police computer for LSPDFR with deep records-framework integration.

pdComp transforms police roleplay in GTA V with a fully interactive MDT/CAD system featuring a simulated police-computer desktop, draggable applications, persistent records, evidence-aware court systems, and integrated records support. It now works with either Policing Redefined (via CDF) or Stop The Ped as its records backend.

Built from the ground up for immersion, pdComp replaces outdated menu-driven police computers with a realistic in-game operating system complete with:

  • Rugged police laptop interface

  • Draggable and resizable windows

  • Desktop wallpaper and app icons

  • Window snapping

  • On-foot patrol tablet

  • ALPR/BOLO notifications

  • Standalone ALPR plate reader and speed radar

  • Persistent criminal justice records

  • Persistent dark mode

New in v0.3.0

Stop The Ped support — pdComp now reads records from Policing Redefined/CDF or Stop The Ped, selectable with the new `[Integration] Mode` setting (Auto / Cdf / Stp)

Standalone ALPR plate reader and speed radar with an on-screen readout — no external dependency required

Optional UI and alert sounds for a more responsive terminal

Smooth, animated UI — frame-rate-independent easing on hovers, presses, and window open/restore, plus title-bar gradients, window drop shadows, a custom cursor, and pixel-snapped text for crisp rendering at every resolution

Deep Records-Framework Integration

A records integration is required — pdComp has no standalone vanilla mode. Choose your backend with `[Integration] Mode`:

When used with Policing Redefined + CDF, pdComp becomes part of a connected policing ecosystem:

  • Pulls synchronized suspect and vehicle records directly from PR

  • Supports evidence-linked arrest reports

  • Integrates with PR citation workflows

  • Tracks warrants, suspended licenses, insurance status, registrations, permits, and more

  • Uses tested evidence and relevance checks in court outcomes

When used with Stop The Ped, pdComp combines LSPDFR persona/vehicle data with STP's:

  • Document-status API (license, registration, insurance)

  • Alcohol-over-limit and drug-influence advisories

  • Contraband/evidence search results, importable as current-call evidence

Core Features

  • Pedestrian & vehicle lookup

  • Citation issuing

  • Arrest reports

  • Court docket & hearings

  • Evidence-aware case outcomes

  • Prior stop and citation history

  • Persistent case database

  • Standalone ALPR & speed radar

  • Persistent vehicle BOLOs with ALPR-style hit alerts

  • Report Center for incident, use-of-force, and vehicle damage reports

  • Mouse, keyboard, and controller support

  • Full-screen immersive UI

What's New in Version 0.3.0

Released

pdComp v0.3.0 — Stop The Ped, ALPR & Radar Update

-This release adds a second records backend, brings real traffic-enforcement tools into the terminal, and gives the whole UI a smoother, more polished feel.

New Features
-Stop The Ped support
pdComp now works with Stop The Ped as an alternative to Policing Redefined/CDF.

With Stop The Ped, pdComp blends LSPDFR persona and vehicle data with STP's document status (license, registration, insurance), DUI and drug-influence advisories, and contraband found during searches — all importable as current-call evidence.

Note: A records integration is still required. pdComp has no standalone/vanilla mode.

-Standalone ALPR & Speed Radar
A built-in automatic plate reader and speed radar with an on-screen readout — no extra plugins needed. Configurable under [ALPR] and [Radar].

-Optional Sounds
UI feedback and alert sounds can now be enabled under [Audio] for a more responsive terminal.

-Improvements
Smoother, animated UI — frame-rate-independent easing on hovers, button presses, and window open/restore, plus title-bar gradients, window drop shadows, a custom cursor, and pixel snapped text that stays crisp at 1080p, 1440p/2K, and 4K.

Persistent dark mode with dark palettes across the desktop MDT and field tablet.

More forgiving custom catalogs — imperfect custom charge/citation rows are now repaired with safe defaults instead of being dropped.

-Fixes
Fixed a stuck/repeating key in the in-overlay text input.

Hardened the pullover plate-lookup logic to avoid a timing race.

Removed dead code and bounded internal animation state to prevent memory growth.

plugin is WIP and features will change/evolve/disappear throughout development as I strive more maximum stability and functionality

In Russian, I would really like to immerse myself in the game, but my English is bad

I can try, It might need to be translated by a program so the grammar might not all be there. I speak Ukrainian but my Russian language is not the greatest.

Thanks for this great new mod. It's my new favorite comp to use for policing redefined.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but when I select one of the people I stopped in my patrol and try to scroll through their record in the history and court docket, the whole docket and history scrolls down the entire page. It makes the court timeline and report note get cut off and you can't see everything.

Maybe you could allow us to delete the peds we stopped from patrols before our current one so we have a clean slate every time we get back in the game.

Also it would great to have an option to make the time on the computer be the same as the time of the game. Right now it only shows in real time of when we are playing lspdfr.

I have tried to recreate this problem any way that I could but have been unsuccessful. The only thing I can think of is that you guys have another plugin installed that I don't and that plugin is overriding pdComps's hotkey blocking.

That being said, I have added the option for you to enable pause while pdComp is active in the config file of version 0.1.4. Please update and try it out.

I have improved UI scaling in version 0.1.4 so it will now look better on 2k and 4k displays. Please update.

So I figured out what plugins interfere with mine. Do you happen to have a discord? may be easier to communicate through there but for the mean time I found DLS and SimpleCtrl keys stay active while in the computer. Once I unloaded those plugins the keybinds did not activate while using the mdt.

I've translated some parts of your plugin. I'd like to know if you could add a file to translate the menus, similar to the one for positions and citations. The plugin is quite nice and functional; my respects.

Give me some time and I will try to add this. I don't want you to go through the trouble of translating it yet because I will be reworking the UI and things might change with the wording and so it would make sense to do the translations after this is complete.

Yes sir, the discord is linked at the top of the mod description.

I have added the option to pause game while computer is active, try enabling that in the config file and see if it fixes your issue

That's not how I personally play the game but there are several people asking for it so I will end up adding it in a future update

I will look into the scrolling issue and try to fix it.

There is already an option for you to clear all the NPC information (id, license plate, evidence) at the end of your interaction. The button is found on the home tab, citation tab, and arrest tab. There is also a button that will clear the court docket so it doesn't get too cluttered.

Perfect, I'll keep an eye out for when it's ready. Thank you so much, this was needed. I was tired of having to use the external one; it was very annoying.

I totally understand but it just takes too much time to write a ticket with back and forth. Arrests and reports I am already doing in the car and of course I am totally fine with your cool work man - really appreciate it ::))

Qucik, and most likely stupid question, does this contain alpr system? If not would it be possible to use alprlite by BejoIjo or would the plate data from alprlite be useless with this mod? Intending to use it alongside the PR mod but I dunno if the ALPR hits would actually stick in this system or would they just be separate

Not at the moment. I am looking into either adding integration with an existing plugin or building that feature in this plugin itself.

At the moment vehicle tags only autopopulate from blipped vehicles

Absolutely awesome. Exactly what I've been waiting for. Great job looks like this will be my daily driver.
-Only issue I have is when viewing outcomes, the bottom section seem to get cut off. with no way to scroll in the docket view. but only scroll all the out comes. (See attached Pic)

P.S. Gotta love the PED name.

Could contain: text, screenshot, software, multimedia software, computer icon, operating system

a couple of times i pulled over people for registration/insurance problems and they where driving a car that wasn't theirs. in version 0.1.5 i wasn't able to link the gun/drugs i found in the car as evidence, didn't appear on the list to link to charge.

This is a pretty great mod I've gotta say.

Knowing this is in beta is a relief as there are a few bugs which need to be fixed.

For example:

  1. When you type in the search box for Charges/Citations, sometimes keys just get spammed (Luckily you can just press ESC).

  2. When using your keyboard, the LeftDPad keybind is being read as the LeftArrow key and you subsequently open the MDT even if you didn't intend to.

Some things that need improvement (in my eyes):

  1. When someone has an outstanding warrant, you don't know what it's for.

  2. When someone gets charged with a bunch of charges, you can't see them all in the report/court history.

  3. The court view isn't easy to read.

  4. Many people have said this already, images of the car models.

  5. Linking some pieces of evidence doesn't work (If you use modified PR files which add more, like letters threatening certain people), you can't link them to any charges.

I'm sure you are aware of many of the things I just said and there is probably some stuff I've missed.

Still this is great and I'm looking forward to future updates.

Seems to work pretty good. Be cool if there was a bind to just hand a citation to a ped or driver without using the menu.

havent downloaded it yet, it does look great tho, my only question is will there or is there an integrated ALPR tab like ReportsPlus has? if not that would be a very cool feature to make pulling up records on traffic stops very easy.

When adding charges and exiting the computer just to verify an ID or something else, the charges disappear when you reopen where you left off, and you have to enter them over again.
