This is a replacement for StopThePed and Ultimate Backup. They cannot be used with this mod.
A lot of plugins require STP/UB and cause crashes without them. They will need to update.
Compulite does not work with this. Reports+ or External Police Computer are alternatives.

After two years of development, it's here. Policing Redefined is a LSPDFR plugin similar to popular plugins such as Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup by Bejoijo, LSPDFR+, or Arrest-Manager by Albo1125. It aims to provide an even more feature-rich and immersive experience to your LSPDFR Patrol, advancing ped and traffic stops as well as adding additional vehicle stops and on-foot traffic stops.
And that is just a small portion of what PR (Policing Redefined) has to offer!

 

Installation:

  1. Extract the contents of the downloaded Policing Redefined v[VERSION].zip archive.
  2. Drag-and-drop the contents of the "GTAV MAIN DIRECTORY" folder into your GTA 5 root directory.
  3. Read the "Get Started" guide on our site

 

After installing your Settings/ folder will be empty, which is normal!
Go on duty at least once: PR will generate them then.


If you don't already have them, download and install these

Features:

Policing Redefined has a ton of features which all cannot be listed here. However here is a rundown of the biggest:

  • Ped Interaction: Custom questioning menu, field sobriety tests, Front/Back cuffing, citations, and more.
  • Inventory Management: Store and bag evidence, test substances, replenish ammo, and more.
  • Backup: Call police, fire, and EMS with a full RTS style management menu to assign tasks to each unit.

 

Disclaimer, Please Read.

First, this will be completely incompatible with Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite, it is recommended you remove them for the smoothest experience.

This is a BETA. This means that you may encounter bugs, crashes, weird behaviors, etc.

The mod itself works as intended. Any major breakages (e.g. the mod crashing on load), are likely due to user error.

PR has been rigorously tested for the past year by various testers and content creators, with no major issues that have yet to be patched.

  • Added to BackupSettings.ini:
    • ExternalDispatchTowTruck: Set response code when requesting tow-truck outside of dispatch menu (plugins like GP, general/misc menu)
    • ExternalDispatchPrisonerTransport: Set response code when requesting prisoner transport for arrested ped

 

Fixes

  • Custom .ini-parser for special characters support
  • K9 fight abort shouldn't kill ped anymore
  • Felony stop doesn't error upon clearing vehicle anymore
  • Felony stop now aborts when a pursuit starts
  • Putting suspect in vehicle (player & prisoner transport) now only uses passenger doors
    • PR will display it when prisoner transport notices that no door to enter could be found.
      If that's the case for you (and the vehicle isn't full of passengers) then it is a vehicle model issue. Use a different one!

And many other small bug fixes, either too small to be their own line, or just missed.

 

Improvements

  • Improved response/parking AI
  • Better animation playing (hopefully less random canceling)
  • Normal dismiss now skips walking tasks of backup peds
  • Made cops slightly more aggressive (more peaking, shooting, advancing)

To update, you only need to replace your DLL and PDB files.
To utilize some search items fixes, you can replace the appropriate XML files too — though it's not required and NOT recommended if you already have custom ones.

backup units seem to be silent when responding (unlike by default where they were notifying through radio that they are enroute) and the dispatches is kinda shy with her sentences

So when i'm arresting Npcs by using weapon LSPDFR crashes, But when i'm arresting using just plugin it is working.

    You are missing a required file / folder: Boolean PolicingRedefined.API.BackupAPI.RequestBackup(PolicingRedefined.API.EBackupUnit maybe try reinstalling PR

    My biggest pain is I miss the Flashlight! I do alot of night patrols and the flashlight is the greatest tool any cop can have. Hopefully soon you guys can integrate that in with the Over the Shoulder hold.

    I Patrol with around 10+ agencies so having to manually convert my UB to the new Backup files took a bit but was mostly just switching the Vehicle and Ped positions in the XML. All areas respond with respective agencies and uniforms! Very happy with how this rolled out. 

    I see alot of people wondering why the Backup spawns so far away and takes a bit..well thats because in IRL, backup + tows + ems or fire takes a couple of minutes to get to you so. It enhances the real experience for those trying to be more immersive.  Just change the spawn distances in the backup files :)!

    Same with the flashlight. Where did you find the spawn distance I don't see it under the backupsettings.ini

    Am I missing something? Even the flatbed isn't doing anything.

    I notice that whenever I choose to take a Suspect into the Police Station myself, we both spawn in the doorway. Well the issue with that is, if I press (on controller) DPadRight to grab him, it teleports me back outside because there's a doorway there also saying to press DPadRight to leave the station.

    To fix this, could we have an optional ini that makes the suspect spawn with you holding him/her whenever you choose to escort them into the Police Station? That would clear that issue up haha.

    Much much better mod it’s all in one mod replacement of stop the ped and ultimate backup also you can replace compulite with another mod. This mod is a game changer so many key binds its only going get better

    yes this mod is compatible with policemenu. If i where you I would head to the Policing Redefined discord and check. They have listed several different callout packs and plugsins that will cause your Policing Redefined to crash.

    Head to the discord server they can give you a better support.

    yeah im not sure what that does or how to use it. My guess is that you make the citations in report+ or External Police Computer

    1.) When you call for backup you cant just treat it like you would in stop the ped where they do everything automatically.
    2.) You need to check your Backup settings in PR. You can find them in plugins/lspdfr/policingredefined/settings/BackupSettings
    3.) find KeybindOpenManagerMenu and see what your keybind is set as. There you can change it also and add a modifier key to prevent key's overlapping. 
    4.) When your in game press the keybind you use for that menu after calling your tow truck or backup
    5.) Inside that menu there should be an option that allows you to manage the tow truck driver and give him command to impound the car by looking at the vehicle you want to have impounded and pressing the command.

    No it's not that, I have issued citations with Report+ (unless I'm doing it wrong even if there aren't different ways to do it really)
    So for now I think is just not used at all, though in the discord somebody mentioned the possibility of getting something like Compulite but PR based, don't quote me tho
    Although having a police computer completely based on PR would be amazing

    you have to choose to print the citation then you can use f7 to give the ped the citation

    Don't know if it's just my game, but it seems as though the AI backup for as medics tow truck corner they'd just be driving crazy when responding. But other than that I like it just have to get used to the new controls.,

    Very cool and its a breath of fresh air that LSPDFR needed. I do hope that CompuLite compatibility or something similar comes to this plugin.
