This mod is not causing tasers to be deadly. Likely something else effecting your game.

Deadly Weapons is a plugin for LSPDFR to add a more dangerous feel to guns. GTA makes people sponges for gameplay, but LSPDFR aims for a more realistic approach.

 

With deadly weapons I increase damage taken by weapons for both the player and AI. Damage varies between limbs and whether the ped is wearing armor or not. It also introduces new auto panic button behavior for when the player fires their weapons.

This plugin isn't the one that changed tasers, you probably have something else installed. Tasers work fine with this plugin.

I recently downloaded Improved AI Accuracy and that hasn't helped much either, as typically the first shot makes contact regardless of distance. I turned down the AI accuracy in the configuration file of Deadly Weapons and that has seemed to help in regards to accuracy. I'm now tinkering with the Alternate Player Damage System set to true to see if I can get the damage where I want it. 

 

Again, enjoying the mod and definitely makes me approach each traffic stop with caution......just hate approaching a car, then getting domed with a no-look, over the shoulder shot as I'm approaching the rear of their car. Had another scenario last week where I responded to a disorderly conduct call.....was in the area but couldn't see the suspects clearly as they were roughly 60 yards or so down the road, beyond traffic.....I hear a gunshot and immediately I am dead. This was before I tuned down accuracy, but dang, I didn't realize I was in a city full of military trained snipers! Lol.

 

All fun and games, thank you for all your hard work on this mod. I'm late to the LSPDFR journey but it's mods like this that keep me entertained! I will eventually get the specifics nailed down thanks to the customization you've allowed in the ini file. 

 

Based on my experience, you would set both to true, then adjust the multiplier accordingly. I tried 1.5 for a bit but I was a bit spongey. I'm going to put it back to 2.00 and try that tomorrow. Setting AlternatePlayerDamageSystem to false just isn't working out for me as I die on first shot nearly every time. Most the time, I get shot before I can even see a gun, so there's no time to even react. Setting AlternatePlayerDamageSystem to true, seems to override the default damage system and allow you to use the multiplier instead. I'd recommend starting at 2.00 and adjust from there. I haven't had enough time to test this value for a sweet spot yet. 

With full armor and headshots disabled, it should be impossible to die from 1 shot. If you could send me a log with the debug mode on when it happens it will help me see what happened.

I understand that this is a plugin for LSPDFR, is there a way I can use it/make it work for the mod Los Santos RED?  I'm already using Realistic Shootouts [.NET] 1.1 and Consciousness (NPC AI tweaks) [.Net] in LSR and was hoping this would work in that also.  Thank you for your time and work

This is strictly an LSPDFR plugin and will not function without it.

Well that notice only shows when you didn't do everything according to the instructions. Send your RagePluginHook.log and I can tell you what is missing.

Not sure what is going on, but every time I had used DW in the past it showed up in my Plugin List in the RPH Launch settings Window. Now, despite installing everything correctly because its not hard, it doesn't show up at all, and there are no effects taking place in-game, made obvious by the fact that I have had to shoot several PEDs and they are still taking a Full Mag and 1/2 like they do in the base Game. If you need a log just let me know, but I'm not sure if this is a common issue related to some sort of conflict or what. 

 

EDIT: Disregard, seemed to be an issue with the program I use for .zip Files.

I install it correctly, it loads correctly, however, I don't feel any difference in the gameplay, it seems like it didn't work... I've already increased the damage in the plugin configuration and it doesn't change anything in the game, do I need the other two plugins you recommended for it to work correctly?

Odd, i played with this a few days ago, did a full re install of GTA and the mods, everything seem to work fine, no errors or anything, but im having the issue when i get 1 shot by almost everything THROUGH body armor.

This definitely did not happen before, and yes i did set all the settings i wanted, i left the damage mult to x2.

Any idea what might be causing this? i dont think i have a mod that conflicts as i have everything i used to have before.

It seems like im taking damage multiple times probably from the normal damage system, I know it says AP Pistol, which im not exactly sure of because it did not look like one, but im also getting tapped from the standard pistol. I used to be able to survive at least 3 or 4 shots before, is there a problem with my mod install or am i just incredibly unlucky?

So it looks like the second hit was just bad luck there, but I admit I do plan to reword the entire system eventually as it is a bit punishing at times

Looks like STP misused a native and caused a crash. LSPDFR terminated so the panic thread was aborted, which caused my plugin to throw its own error. This was not DW's fault, and in the future, I will not log this error when LSPDFR crashes.

Hey is there a way to remove the backup when shots are fired? - btw great plugin, however i dont know if this is part of the mod that does this but ai paramedics dont seem to be able to revive suspects but i can?

Yeah, you can disable the panic feature in the ini config file.
As for AI paramedics, this plugin does not manage that at all.
