Automatic Siren Cutout 3.1.5

(34 reviews)

Merged into Rich's Police Enhancements v1.6

About

Automatic Siren Cutout is a plugin created primarily for ELS users.  This script will automatically turn off your sirens while keeping your emergency lights on when you get out of emergency vehicles.  Be advised, this will not work if you use your mouse to exit your vehicle or toggle your lights.  Keyboard or controller only.

Included Features

  • Friendly Honk:  A fun little feature that makes other emergency vehicles honk their horn or blip their siren at you if you honk or blip your siren at them.
  • Traffic Light Control:  Turn traffic lights green as you approach intersections with stage 3 lighting enabled.  This does not affect AI traffic.
  • Traffic Yielding  AI will drive around your vehicle when you are stopped with stage 3 lighting on.

I will update this after I update Scene Manager.  ETA unknown, but hopefully sooner than later.

Fantastic, thanks for the update, been so sad that the yielding caused the plugin to crash itself, can't wait to see how it's working now 😄

Hopefully it works well.. it seemed to when I was testing it.  There might be an uncommon crash resulting from if the driver of a vehicle going around you gets out of their vehicle.  I can't release a fix for that until this one gets approved.

Anyone else having an issue where Anti-Virus is blocking the dII file?

Really nice mod, been using it since it came out. On the latest update though I can't use the code 3 light yield without traffic freaking out and causing a pileup. It also breaks traffic stops, they will pull over and then after stopping pull away again. Doesn't happen with the setting off; not sure if its the latest GTA update or the mod itself.

mine does sometime for other plugin dll files, you just have to add it as an exclusion to the anti virus software

I've added this to my issue tracker and will look into it.

Thanks, I'll work on the issues reported so far when I get home from work today.

I've removed the mod for the time being. This plugin causes cars that are near me to mysteriously despawn within 10 seconds of being near it. Unloading it stops this behavior.

This has always been a thing with previous versions, but shouldn't happen in the most recent version.  Which version are you using?

Unlikely, I didn't change the mechanics behind the automatic siren cutout feature.  In my experience, this has only happened with vehicles that have one lighting stage.

Game crashes don't show up in the log.  Manu's video is more helpful.  The only information I have to work with is it might be related to police vehicles.

Edit:  If people want more stable releases, I would encourage taking advantage of testing early releases I post in my Discord.

Hi there, I started using this mod a couple of days ago, followed the installation instructors and fiddled with the settings on the .ini file as recommended. Unfortunately I seem to be having frequent plugin crashes when I exit my vehicle, and I am not too sure what could be causing this to occur. Just curious as to whether this has been known to happen with any other users. Otherwise this plugin works perfectly as intended, just very frustrating that the plugin crashes a lot in my personal experience. A real great concept too.

Easily one of the most essential mods for LSPDFR. I've been using it since release, and I have nothing but love for it.
