Security+ Beta 1.2

ATTENTION!

This mod is no longer in active development!

Development of this mod has been taken over here

What does this mean? Well, simply put, I can no longer handle it. School and work has to take priority, and I just don't have the time for it anymore. I'm very sorry to those of you who were looking forward to new updates, bugfixes, your suggestions and more. I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your incredible amounts of support along the journey of this plugin.

I first submitted this over 3 years ago, way back in 2019, as just a couple of vaguely security related callouts. Since then, nearly 50,000 people have downloaded it. I can't even picture that many people in my mind, it truly blows me away, so thank you.

For anyone interested, I've decided to open-source the entirety of Beta 1.2, along with all unreleased WIP Beta 1.3 code here on GitHub. It's a GPL license, so go crazy. Unfortunately I no longer have the original code for the older versions, but if you really need them for some reason you can always just decompile them, as they're all still available here as .dll files. Thank you all again for your support over the years, and happy modding.

Security+ is now in Beta!

After a very long wait (sorry haha) the major update is finally here.

I won't spoil too much, but some of the new features include:

    - A brand new code base for maximum optimization

    - Remastered or Remade all existing callouts!

    - Now supporting 50 locations across San Andreas!

    - 36 Unique security scenarios!

    - A custom security dispatcher!

    - And much more

I've done my best to remove all existing bugs, and everything should work smoothly, however, if you find a bug please don't hesitate to leave a comment or send me a message 🙂

Check out the SecurityPlus.ini file for configuration! If you continuously get a "Code 4 - Disregard" message, try disabling the distance check!

How to uninstall the plugin (callouts):
1. Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\ and delete both "SecurityPlus.dll", and "SecurityPlus.ini"
2. Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V\LSPDFR\audio\scanner\ and delete the folder "SECURITYPLUS"

3. Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V\LSPDFR\data\custom\ and delete "agency_gru.xml", "duty_selection_gru.xml", "inventory_gru.xml", "outfits_gru.xml", and "stations_gru.xml"
------------------------------
How to uninstall the mod (vehicles):
1. With OpenIV Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\ and delete the folder "gspack"
2. With OpenIV Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\ and edit "dlclist.xml"
Inside this file find the line that says "<item>dlcpacks:/gspack/</item>" and delete it, then save "dlclist.xml"
3. With OpenIV Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\ and edit "extratitleupdatedata.meta"
Inside this file find the set of lines that says:
    <Item type="SExtraTitleUpdateMount">
        <deviceName>dlc_gspack:/</deviceName>
        <path>update:/dlc_patch/gspack/</path>
    </Item>
and delete that section of code, then save "extratitleupdatedata.meta"

Do i need lspdfr installed or this an alternative all by its own?

It's a mod built on top of LSPDFR so you will need LSPDFR installed to run it. But while it is recommended, you don't actually need any other mods to be able to play it.

It depends which part of the mod is crashing, if it's the callouts, then navigate to "Grand Theft Auto V/plugins/LSPDFR", find "Security+.dll" or possibly "SecurityPlus.dll" and delete that file. If it is the vehicles, I know how to delete it but unfortunately I cannot remember the exact file path to go to in order to do so. And I cannot check as I don't currently have access to a computer with that program. If anything develops please let me k le via DM or on Discord but if not I will check with you once I'm able to do something about it in a couple days time. I hope you can get it resolved 🙂

I am truly surprised that no one has mentioned this in the comments yet.  All 3 vehicles with the pack have zero sound.  Meaning no car door sound, no engine sound etc.  Found the problem and it is in the vehicles meta file.   Path here  mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\gspack\dlc.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5     The meta file needs to have an audio hash in order for it to recognize what a "CVPI" model is.      Simple fix would be to name them something like this  <audioNameHash>POLICE</audioNameHash>    and    <audioNameHash>POLICE2</audioNameHash>    then       <audioNameHash>POLICE3</audioNameHash>    just an example of how to get sound for these vehicles.  of course you can get real creative and put a different type of vehicle in that name.   Like  <audioNameHash>BULLET</audioNameHash>   for the charger 😉

Hope this helps

Thank you very much for your comment, I've been going through the .metas for the longest time and I never even noticed that lol. Anyway thanks again this really helps me 🙂

I think it would be a very interesting idea if there were a modified version of this or possibly a completely separate mod entailing Merryweather or PMC  type callouts.

That's a neat idea. I have recently been playing LSPDFR with the EUP Serve and Rescue merryweather skins and have been thinking along the same lines. At the moment I'm rather tied up trying to make sure this mod is working as well as can be, but when that is done I will definatley look into making an addon 🙂

in the readme file you wrote

"At the moment, there are 12 working callouts, some of the callouts are still in development"

does this mean that some of the 12 callouts are still in development?

Yes, currently of those 12 the only thing left for me to do is to fix where they are spawning, however, I do also have other callouts not included in those 12 that are in development as well.

The mod is not being recognised once all plugin loaded without any error. I know this is integrated in to LCPDFR folder but have no sight to proceed. I followed the installment instruction step by step and dont know why...

Edit: I now relised that mod requires "Community Script Hook V .NET" but there is no available version of it yet. So..

How do i completly uninstall the plugin

Just go into Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\ and delete both "SecurityPlus.dll" and "SecurityPlus.ini" then in Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\audio\scanner\ delete the folder called "SECURITYPLUS". 🙂

@SneakySteve Hey, awesome work man. Just wondering, could you add locations like the FIB building (or the underground garage underneath the FIB building) and the union depository garage/front entrence for the fake credentials callout? Would love to have those when doing security patrols in pillbox hill.

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of the city very much when making that callout. That for sure will be coming soon 🙂

Sure thing! Just don't install the .oiv or ELS folder 🙂

Is the .oiv required for the pack to work, or can I just install the .dll and ini? This looks really cool btw!

I do like the call outs. Nice little change of pace from your robberies and pursuits. However, is there any way to change it to where this callout plugin won't override the rest of my callout plugins (Agency, PeterU, etc)? I like doing these calls as an officer rather then security, but when I have the plugin installed, its calls are the only ones that are dispatched.

Is it possible you installed another mod that overrides them? When testing, I have many other callouts installed and they all will dispatch to me fine...
