FireyCallouts

 

This callout pack is about callouts that not only require your help, but also the help of the other emergency services. You have to keep track of everything and coordinate the operation.

Despite the name and the thumbnail the callouts are intended to still be played as a cop. More information can also be found in the readme.

 

Installation

 

Requirements

 

Copy the plugins folder into your main GTA directory and you're good to go!

I highly recommend to use StopThePed and UltimateBackup by BejoIjo for a better experience!

 

Callouts

 

Currently this pack features seven callouts:

  • Lost Freight: A truck has lost its freight. Go to the scene and clear the road for other traffic.

  • Dumpster Fire*: Some dumpsters are on fire! Go there and check the scene. Also don't forget to extinguish the fire!

  • Helicopter Crash*: A helicopter has crashed. Go there and secure the scene.

  • Burning Truck*: A truck is smoking from the engine but the driver won't stop. It's on you to get them to stop.

  • Illegal Firework*: A maniac is shooting a firework launcher. Crash their party.

  • Structural Fire*: A structure has caught fire. Go there and help.

  • Plane Landing*: A plane needs to perform an emegrency landing. Go to the location and make sure it can land safely.

Gamemodes

 

Gamemodes determine wether you want to play as a police officer (standard) or as a firefighter. Both gamemodes contain some unique features however the Firefighter-gamemode is in a sort-of alpha version. This idea came as an inpsiration of @GeoffreyGamer's showcase of my callout pack (Version 0.1.0.0) - a big thanks to him for this and the valuable feedback 🙂

- Changed the thumbnail. Thanks to @MyTypofMonkee for the design! 🙂

 

-> With this I also want to inform everyone, that I'm still working on the callout pack but I am currently very busy with private stuff. I hope to release quite a big update within the next few month.

I want to give some special thanks to Albo1125 for his Guide that really helped me understand the API and build the basis and sEbi3 for open-sourcing UnitedCallouts which I checked out for a few inspirations.

    It's a great callout pack, but I have had some issues. The dumpster fire callout doesn't show up in the callouts, and callout manager says it failed to start. The lost load one has spawned a flatbed tow truck with an individual standing outside and that is all. And the other ones function properly.

    The dumpster fire: I've added a distance check that the callout will abort when the player is <400 away from the location of the callout. If you try to spawn it somehwere further away from the spots it will end itself. The spots are: Rockford Hills in the allyway where th onee cayo prep is, Vespucci Beach rather southbound, Mirror Park south-east of the lake, Strawberry near the clucking bell, the truck stop on the right highway, behind the fleeca heist bank, Sandy Shores Motel, Grapeseed around the document forgery and at paleto in the middle of town. If you go close to on eof these spots it should spawn properly.

    Lost freigth: There shoudldbe an old tractor spawning somehwere besides. I'm still on it to spawn the vehicle properly behind the truck.

    If you could send me the rage log I'd appreciate it so I can have a look on what happened exactly 🙂

    Thanks a lot for the review and the feedback! I've already posted a comment under your video explaining some stuff, but I will also explain it here:

    First of all my plugin - despite the name - is not intented to be played as a firefighter but as a cop. However you gave me the idea to include the option to play them as a firefighter but that feature won't be a primary target.

    Next, the Readme.md is a markdown file. I was not aware that windows doesn't have a standard app to open these files. You should be able to view them with any pdf viewer or you can read it via the github repository (Link) (I will also include a .txt with the next update).

    Furthermore not all callouts will end with fire or explosions. They have random elements in them so e.g. the burning truck will only expldode 50% of the time - the other 50% you are supposed to pull that truck over. The Lost Freight callout also does not include any sort of fire or explosions.

     

    This callout pack is my first pack and I still have a lot to improve which I wanted the feedback of the LSPDFR community from 🙂

    Might be a glitch in the illegal firework that spawns by Rockford Hills Police Station.  I go there and I hear some cussing me out but I can't find them.  Called back up and they seem to somewhat see them but they don't shoot .  There is that overpass section and i looked on there and can't find him/her.  I just had to cancel the call.  Got a truck fire call and game crashed when I got close to the scene.  Crash may or may not be related to your callouts.

    You hould be good with LSPDFR and Rage installed. Can you send me the log file? Maybe I can find out what the problem is.

    The illegal firework uses a rage function to generate a random position on the streets. Sometimes these positions are a bit weird and sometimes one or another ped spawns inside buildings b´because of the way I spawn them. Can you send me your log file so I can have a look at that and your game crash?

    Ok, here they are.  I think the 116 kb log is the truck fire and the 372 kb log is the firework.  Hope I got that right.

    Thanks for sending them. I've looked into the files but I don't see any direct information about the problems. I've now added a few more logging messages to maybe find an existing issue. I don't think FireyCallouts was the cause of the crash though, but I'll do some more tests to ensure there are no problems with this Callout.

    That's alright.  Thanks for checking into it.  Problem might be on my side, who knows.  I have about 30gb of space on my drive that the game is on.  I'm about ready to add another drive and do a fresh reinstall of GTAV and LSPDFR.  For some reason my game has been crashing more and more.  Usually LSPDFR.  Haven't done any major changes except swapping out callout packs to see where the problem is.  maybe I just need to start fresh.  Don't know what is going on.

    Firstly, this is an awesome callout pack, I haven't seen these calls done before, and haven't seen a callout pack that intends to have officers control a fire situation. I have a few suggestions for current callouts and possible future ones if you'd like to hear them. I can do them here or message you if you do want them.

    We need more callout packs that add new scenarios that have never been done before, like yours. Thank you!

    Thanks for the feedback! You are more than welcome to share some callout ideas - you can share them here or in pm (or even on the Github repo lol) whatever you prefer. However it might take some time for me to implement them as I'm currently a bit busy with my studys.

    I responded to the structural fire in Davies. As I arrived I took out the Fire - Extinguisher, and started using it. However, gang members thought it was a gun, and soon after ~10-12 started shooting at me for no reason. It breaks RP and they're deadly lol

     

    Edit: It would also be dope if the fire spread if you didnt handle the situation. F.ex. to the actual gas cans / "charging stations" for diesel cars.

    Yeah that location was maybe not the best to choose. I'll rework the location(s) for that callout. I'll also see what I can do to make the fire spread 🙂

    Thanks for the information. It looks like the Game still ran some commands inside the Gamefiber when it was supposed to be ended. I will look into that to fix the problem. If this problem occurs more often I recommend to change the .ini to not load this callout until the next update.

    This callout pack is smart because you can still play as a cop but also respond to different types of emergencies. This reminds me of the film World Trade Center where PAPD responded to the crash in firefighting gear.

     

    It would be cool if you could make 'pickup points' to get gear for the callouts.
