Description
This modification enhances keyboard and mouse driving in Grand Theft Auto V, by smoothing out throttle, brake and steering, providing a cruise control feature with auto-follow, and other miscellaneous improvements such as engine control, fuelling, etc. Aggressive driving is still possible, either by double tapping W/S, or enabling race mode (detailed user guide included in download).

Important

This mod is known to be incompatible with ikt's Manual Transmission, and Custom Gear Ratios. It may also be incompatible with other similar driving mods.

Planned Features
- Odometer (have to figure out how this will work in game)

Known Bugs
- UI may flicker when FPS fluctuates a lot

- If Menyoo is installed, AI shifting will not work in certain spots (such as Vespucci beach)
- Please report any further bugs

Installation
1. Ensure you have the following installed:

  - ASI Loader (OpenIV > Tools > ASI Manager)
   - ScriptHookV (latest version)
   - ScriptHookV .NET (latest version)
2. Navigate to the Grand Theft Auto V main directory.
3. Go to the Scripts folder (part of ScriptHookV .NET, if such folder does not exist, create it).
4. Unpack the archive that was downloaded into the Scripts folder (SmoothDrivingV.dll and the SmoothDrivingV folder should be alongside one-another inside the Scripts folder).

how can i disable the wheel staying where it is when you turn it, i remember there used to be some sort of option for that but i cant find it anymore

Ok so I drop SmoothDrivingV.dll into the scripts folder, correct. but there's also a folder called SmoothDrivingV and it has a bunch of stuff in that, where does that go? just in GTA main directory folder? Or that has to go into scripts as well?

@Lieutenant Dan how do I properly alter the gas usage I lowered it multiple times down to 10 and don't see much of a difference if any. I am trying to use the gas stations more often

.First letter is B, C or T (for bottom, center or top)
.Second letter is L, C or R (left, center or right)
Anchor = BC

absolutely fire been using this for a while, it isn't hard to switch from using this to a normal PC driving game without having muscle memory issues which is a huge part of this i like.

makes vehicle movement realistic unlike literally every other driving mod ever

Hey,

I have a question. When I start GTA with RPH this plugin wont load. The RPH-Console tells me the following:

Error while loading plugin C:\Program Files\Epic Games\GTAV\Plugins\SmoothDrivingV.dll. Plugin is skipped during reload. Exception: System.ArgumentException: Assembly SmoothDrivingV.dll (SmoothDrivingV, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null) does not have the required Plugin attribute.

I have installed the latest versions of ASI Loader, ScriptHookV, ScriptHookV .NET and Smooth Driving.

Do I have installed the mod in a wrong way or is it not working with the current version of GTA?

You put it in the wrong folder. It needs to go to: GTAV/scripts

make sure you installed all the requirements first
