Smooth Driving V 1.07

(24 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Description
This modification enhances keyboard and mouse driving in Grand Theft Auto V, by smoothing out throttle, brake and steering, providing a cruise control feature with auto-follow, and other miscellaneous improvements such as engine control, fuelling, etc. Aggressive driving is still possible, either by double tapping W/S, or enabling race mode (detailed user guide included in download).

Important

This mod is known to be incompatible with ikt's Manual Transmission, and Custom Gear Ratios. It may also be incompatible with other similar driving mods.

Features
     - Smooth acceleration/deceleration
     - Smooth, realistic steering (with steering angle hold outside of vehicle)
     - Ignition control (engine stays on when leaving vehicle)
     - Fuel consumption and refueling
     - Cruise control with auto-follow
     - Improved, automatic gearbox
     - Optional custom gear ratios
     - Compact and informative UI
     - Extensive configuration
     - Turn and hazard indicators with automatic cutoff

Planned Features
     - Odometer (have to figure out how this will work in game)

Known Bugs
     - UI may flicker when FPS fluctuates a lot

     - If Menyoo is installed, AI shifting will not work in certain spots (such as Vespucci beach)
     - Please report any further bugs

Installation
    1. Ensure you have the following installed:

          - ASI Loader (OpenIV > Tools > ASI Manager)
          - ScriptHookV (latest version)
          - ScriptHookV .NET (latest version)
    2. Navigate to the Grand Theft Auto V main directory.
    3. Go to the Scripts folder (part of ScriptHookV .NET, if such folder does not exist, create it).
    4. Unpack the archive that was downloaded into the Scripts folder (SmoothDrivingV.dll and the SmoothDrivingV folder should be alongside one-another inside the Scripts folder).

Changelog
     - V1.01:
          - Added sequential shifting
          - Added ability to disable smooth steering

El mío no parece funcionar, tengo todo instalado correctamente, pero cuando entro en el juego, los coches se comportan normalmente.

Update scripthook and scripthook.net since everything related to "scripts" works with those plugins.

I don't know why, but i can't go into reverse or turn on the blinkers or the engine when asi loader is loaded, when i unload it everything starts working again, i tried this mod without lspdfr and everything works, but when i load lspdfr everything stops working except smooth turning and smooth stopping/starting

So, I'm trying to set up smooth steering for my steering wheel.
However I am unable to have the wheel in-game return to neutral position when the steering wheel does.
I am using joytokey to set this up. so any help would be greatly appreciated.

For a bit more details on what I mean:
I used joytokey (J2K) to set up the A and D steering. however as soon as I return the steering wheel to neutral, the wheels in game stay turned.
I'm not sure if there is a way to fix this, so if anybody knows something that might help

Thanks in advance.

If I understand correctly, you're using a physical steering wheel, like a G27? If so, ikt's Manual Transmission is what you need, which allows you to actually map the steering axis to the in-game wheel. Don't use J2K lol.

Can you send me a screenshot of your game's main folder, and your Scripts folder?

Perhaps the car you're getting into has its engine off? Try pressing Shift + Z when in a car.

Seems like everything is good, if you updated SHV and SHVDN, it should work. The only things I can think of are maybe that an antivirus is blocking it, that fix wheel turn back mod is interfering (you don't need it with my mod anyway), or you don't have .NET framework 4.8 installed.

How do I check for antivirus blocking it? Also, I did install the .NET framework so it isn't that.

Thanks for the response, I only saw it now. I indeed used the manual transmission mod to make it work.
I'm now using MT for the axis, and then I have J2K to map my lights and sirens to the saitek control panel.

I guess just disable it for a bit and try it. Also, could you right click ScriptHookVDotNet3.dll, go to Properties, Details and tell me the version? Also, do the same for ScriptHookV.dll.

ScripthookvDotnet3 is 3.0.4.0, Scripthookv is 1.0.2245.0

Script Hook V .NET has nothing to do with LSPDFR, that's RPH. Maybe try removing LSPDFR addons, and all scripts except this one. Either way, this one should work now.

this is awesome it makes patrols in LSPDFR so much harder can you add a seatbelt feature with an animation i already love the concept of having to turn off the vehicle and exit to refuel i love that and this mod has everything you have to do in real life only it doesnt have a seatbelt feature if you could add a seatbelt feature that would be awesome so that way i dont have to have 2 mods installed cheers mate

i love this mod but i wish there was a way for the car to always stay in race mode or an option in the .ini file for cars to always be in race mode
