if you have ELS, it should be B on an xbox controller.

You do realize that all Smart Sirens use the same exact tones...right?

They're not... They are very similar but still different. Yelp and air horn tones are changed the most in the newer versus older models.

Yelp is lower pitched and a little slower on the newer model. Air horn is also a lot deeper on the newer model. I am around police cars as a volunteer every week, and we use both new and old smart sirens. After hearing them each for a while, it's easy to tell the difference between the two.

Speakers and the doppler effects change the way sirens sound. It's the same tone generator in all models. The only difference you will find in a newer SmartSiren is compatibility for FS lighthead synchronization and Valor/Integrity specific features. Perhaps the difference you're hearing is the tiny bit of added latency in newer ones due to electronics changes, but the tones are ultimately the same and this latency doesn't matter in GTA since ELS doesn't simulate switching latency. Your siren sounds great, but to suggest that the tones are different from previous models is bad information.

I use an LAPD / LASD theme in my game so this is great. I'm always looking for a better sounding Fed Sig SS2000. I wasn't aware that LAPD went over to the Fed Sig Platinum so maybe that's where I'm not hearing things right. I love the wail from yours here, but I have found better sounding yelps in other packs, but maybe that's just because I'm not used to the Platinum yelp sound? is it different from the SS2000? Something about it just sounds different when I compare it to some "LAPD Code 3" videos on youtube.

This one for example.

The Platinum's yelp and air horn are different than on the standard SS2000. The yelp is slower, and also slightly deeper pitched on the platinum models. The air horn is also deeper and different. Here's a good video showing the difference in between the wail, yelp, and priority. Unfortunately this vid doesn't have an air horn but you can hear the wail, and the lower pitched yelp, and back to a higher pitched priority tone.

Your vehicles file has exceeded 15.7mb. Just replace some of the useless/near useless files with dead air.

Open IV > mods > x64 > audio > sfx > resident.rpf > extract vehicles.awc to an empty folder > add siren files > add vehicles.oac to resident.rpf. Should work. Make a backup of the vehicles.awc first though incase anything goes wrong

Thats what I did and I had no sirens in game, so that tells me the mod is just broken. thank you for the reply though.

The mod is not broken - just means your vehicles.awc folder is over 15.75mb which is the limit otherwise your audio will be muted in game.
