Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

I get no ELS reflections in Rockstar Editor and cannot for the life of me work out why or if it is fixable.

Alrighty, I Need Some Help With The .ini File, I'm Using Controller with ELS, Works Fine but i do not know how to change the controller inputs, or rather where to find the numbers for them.

There is a ELS version for gta 4, Here it it ELS IV

 You need to download the els file on the pack on the els folder, there Vanilla lspd police vehicles ELS

I noticed that ELS messes with the vehicle extras of a car. By that I mean that I can't toggle some of the extras which are being used for rambars, lightbars, or other car components. If the car comes with a component on it, I can remove it, but I can't add it back; or if it doesn't have it, I can't put it on at all. I checked the VCF files to see if the extra slot is bound to an ELS light pattern, and that isn't the case they're completely free to be used yet I still have this problem occurring. Any way I can resolve this problem?

hey the lights aren't showing up on the police cars but for some reason the break lights flash. is there anyway to fix this?

XML files are the same as they previously were, taillights flash but nothing further.

I am also having this issue now. The rest of my lights won't flash, but my taillights will. This happens across all my XML Vehicles with the exception of one - which I don't believe is ELS. I will try to look for an answer. In the meantime, I have redownloaded ELS and it will not fix. This was not an issue prior, so pretty weird.

Nope, I've reinstalled my entire MODS folder. ELS, the XML files for the car packs and still no luck.

Got mine working. 

Go to OpenIV/Tools/ASI Manager. 
Uninstall all your ASI's, install your ASI's and then restart your PC.

Make sure you do it in that order. It was suggested to me by another user, with a slightly different order and it didn't work.

Same problem for me after a clean install of GTA 5 without mods, crash my game at startup when ELS is installed and it works perfectly without ELS .

Never had issue before. WTF ?

 

Ok after many research test ect i fixed my issue, it was my pc 🙄 i don't know why but i didn't have anymore administrator rights on all files and folders. I have make this modification for all files of GTA 5, reinstall a fresh ELS  with my xml backups files and it rework perfectly !!

 

If it could help anybody. 😉

    This is amazing! I have one suggestion. Make it so you can add a lightbar as an extra like non-ELS cars can do because it will be a really good for pack creators so they don't have to create different models if you want the car slick-top or undercover.

    I've seen some Youtube vids where after arrival on scene the Blue lights have been changed from flashing to just shine. How can I do this? Is there a key or is this not a ELS function?
