Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released June 28, 20241 yr

Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

Make a new ELS folder, change it in the .ini and see what happens.

Maybe even try renaming your mods folder temporarily, creating a new one and installing one ELS vehicle, just to rule that out. Not much else I can suggest other then basic troubleshooting, and rebooting your PC which I'll assume by now you've done multiple times.

I tried reinstalling scripthookv, tried renaming my VCF folder, and tried removing my most recently added ELS cars just to see. Still nothing. Considering it's a light issue, it feels like something with the VCF, but I did a clean install of ELS and still nothing. So I don't get it at all.

My friend I'm trying to help... (it was a joke) I gave you two things to try out... if you a e going to analyze every option before even trying then I can't help you. I'm just a user, tell the modder to go F#@$$! him self and see if he wants to help. The game you are playing is called GTA not ELS there could be a ton of things wrong that is causing your problems with just ELS. I'm gonna shut up and let someone else help, I see my help is not needed.

No, I'm not mad at you, I apologize. I just get so frustrated with modding because crap randomly stops working.

I did more testing, and found out that I can turn on all of the police lights via my trainer, but they are merely steady burns. I can turn off all the lights via ELS, but they won't turn on.

Watch out for trainers, they can be silent killers... some work with this, but not that etc. Like ENB some ENB's just don't work with simple trainer. I gave up on ENB entirely. And no problem I know the frustration.

To those crashing on the Assorted Callouts Traffic Stop Backup Required/Stolen Police Vehicle calls, or those having issues with a plugin that spawns emergency vehicles at some distance away:

This is caused by ELS taking over the ELS vehicles these plugins spawn if you have a VCF installed for them. Because they spawn a distance away, ELS cleanes them up instantly and deletes them.

Thus, an ELS update will have to be released to fix this. For now, you can disable ELS taking over AI in the ELS.ini file, or remove all ELS vehicles from the default emergency vehicle slots (ELS addon vehicles are not as likely to cause this, as most plugins only spawn default emergency vehicles).

Do some research before asking the same question a dozen others have already asked.

Also if something isn't working read the manual FIRST, there might be, some useful information in there or so they say...

Moral of the story: If you need support, use the forums.

Why repeat all the questions, most have already been answered already, just to tell people "PLEASE UTILIZE THE FORUMS! " "Do some research before asking the same question a dozen others have already asked." Mod Creators provide support and guidance to their mod in their comment sections often, UNLESS they state on their page support is offered at another location. Plenty have read the manual as you state without success to solve the problem. The mod has been released a fairly short amount of time with nothing on this page about where to go for support. The moral of your story is: YOU did not READ the entire thread because if you had, you would not have posted this.

Don't see an ELS support thread there. I also don't see one at Forums -> Grand Theft Auto V -> Script, Ped & File Modifications Showroom.

I do however, see various ELS threads scattered among this web site because there is no centralized support thread or anyone from a developmental standpoint offering any type of support. The only people doing so are regular users and members of this site. So it makes perfect sense to me that this is where joe blow, jane doe can't figure it out or my shit is broken comes for support for ELS, regardless of whether or not they're being ignored by someone qualified to help them out or acknowledged by another more experienced regular user.

See, I made my point, no crayons needed.

Im working on trying to get a xml file for the fire truck and a ELS working fire truck, but im trying to figure out how to get it to use the fire truck audio and not the police audio,any help or suggestions?

Actually, i just figured it out, you need to go through your audio files and select the sirens you will use and input them into your audio strings.
For Example, im using the Fire Truck since i have a Fire Mod ( Sorry, also fixing to be a Fire Cadet)

Are you sure you got it working like that? Iøve tried the attached xml file, and its just all silence on m1 and m2.

I consider you lucky you can even bring up the small light menu.. I've been trying for 3 days straight to get ELS to even show that. No forums, YouTube videos or anything are helping me.. I'm about ready to give up on it because I really wanted to use this like I had on IV and I can't..

Honestly, I'm flabbergasted. ELS was the most desired and wanted mod. There was so much hype for it, and everyone was excited. Now, however, we are in a situation where those of us having problems that we cannot solve our own have absolutely zero support from the mod author or from someone who actually worked on the mod. I get it, Cain may be busy working on the mod, but you can at least make some effort into helping people who have legitimate issues that they can't fix on their own.

It saddens me to say this has to be the worst mod in terms of support.
