BetterDispatchAudio 2.2

(39 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Are you tired of hearing "IN, UHHHHHH"? Tired of "DIS BOBCAT 4 EN ROUUUTEE!!!"? So was I. So I fixed that. Better Dispatch Audio (B.D.A.) includes completely new AI Responding Audio (from NFS Most Wanted). Calling for backup (and Helicopter Support) will trigger this. Ending a callout from Albo's "Assorted Callouts" or "Traffic Policer" and finishing up with "BetterEMS" will also trigger new audio, changing "We are Code 4, no further units required" to "All Units you can clear this call, return to patrol". Pursuits are much more immersive. This has been a several weeks long process, with restless nights, and my 1'st mod. I'm happy to release it here for the community. Please let me know what you think of it, and enjoy.

Works with...

LPCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

HeroCop

AssortedCallouts

TrafficPolicer

AgencyCallouts

BetterEMS

CodeRedCallouts

ArrestWarrantCallouts

PeterUCallouts

ArrestManager

VocalDispatch

Tacco's Highway Callouts

OJ's Plugins

Streetname Addon (All streets)

Standard Dispatch version works with just about any callout pack.

Installation : Simply drag and drop the provided folders to their designated locations. A ReadMe.txt has been provided for your convenience.

A special thanks to mikegolden Games and Gallonman20 on Youtube, for taking interest in this mod, and uploading videos about it. Please check out their channels, as they both do fantastic LSPDFR related Content, plus more :woot:

*Disclaimer* Audio used in these videos is outdated by about a year. These sounds were from the very beginning stages, and the mod is much more cleaned up these days.

What's New in Version 2.2

Released

2.2

If you don't like the Custom Dispatcher's voice, please download the "Standard Dispatch" version. Yes, I brought it back

I've updated this mod, to keep up with all recently released callout packs (including Tacco's Highway callouts released recently, honestly perfect timing bud)

Callout pack not compatible? Link me to it, and I'll see about adding that in. I won't add it if it's no longer a supported plugin however (meaning, incredibly outdated and buggy). The callouts I have now, I have personally verified that they are working properly on the latest RPH and version of GTA.

and possibly using another ladys voice but please update.

Just went ahead and did an audio file check. B.D.A. works perfectly thus far with all of Albo's latest plugins. Please always remember to reinstall B.D.A. AFTER you update any plugin/callout pack that contains audio files

I personally still prefer the normal pitch. The problem I have with the altered pitch is that it sounds like someone's using a voice changer.

I hear you. I'm actually still in the process of updating the "Normal Pitch" version  No set release date however.

No problem. I'm gonna stick with the old version with the normal pitch for now. :teehee:

I'm having issues with the file compression on the latest update 2.2.7z.  I can't get the file to unzip in WinZip and it asks for a password in 9zip.  I usually do a drag and drop method in winzip.  Tried doing the extract button method and all it unzipped was the file structure no actual audio files.

I'll give it a download and see if I messed it up somewhere lol. Personally, I use 7Zip (still works flawlessly on Windows 10).

Well after some quick testing with various files within both version, I can confirm it's working as it should. My best guess is that either the program you're using to open the mod is outdated, or, it could've been a simple error in the download itself (which happens from time to time on LSPDFR). Keep me updated, and I hope that this will work itself out for you.

Is there a way to lower the volume other than going in and doing it file by file?

I'm sad to say no 😞 . Having to do everything file by file is what takes updates so long to do. I'm also sad to say I feel this mod is discontinued at this point. I've simply run out of content and ideas. Better to end it on a high note, rather than throwing random audio in lol.

I decided to download the second version of your mod earlier today (the "Standard Dispatch" version) and it is much better. Not nearly as loud as the other version. Sad to hear you are done with the mod, but honestly I don't even know what else you can add to it at this point that you haven't already 🙂

Yeah I agree. My favorite is also the "Standard Dispatch". I should say, that paired perfectly with this mod (if you're not using it already) is "XScanner". If you're not using it yet, PLEASE DO! The only thing I had to change with XScanner was the frequency at which the audio happens, and I turned up the volume a bit.

That is actually exactly the type of mod I've been looking for recently lol. I like the added immersion of extra radio chatter. Thanks man!

Yes it blends just fine. The only folders you need to add to 0.4 are "CONJUNCTIVES", "UNITS_RESPOND" and all of the officer folders from s_f_y_cop_01_black_full_01 all the way down to s_m_y_cop_01_white_mini_04

If you have plugin mods then go ahead and drag/drop those folders as well. But just base LSPDFR 0.4 only needs the folders I've mentioned above. The only one I've tested thus far is the updated "AssortedCallouts" by Albo.

Hey, I saw that you said this mod is now discontinued but I was wondering if you could add support for UltimateBackup? If not, is it possible for us to do it ourselves by using the files that are already present in the mod? Thanks.
