Crown Victoria Engine Sound 1.55

(7 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Do you want to feel like a true hero when patrolling the streets of San Andreas (and Blaine County)? Then this mod is definitely for you!

With the power of this mod, you can experience crisp acceleration and deceleration auditory feedback, as well as awesome idle noises when driving the Ford Crown Victoria in GTA V!

The sounds were recorded from an actual 2011 Ford Crown Victoria P7B, equipped with a 4.6L V8 SOHC.

PLANS:

- Record acceleration and deceleration for engine

- Improve quality and volume

So far I like it. Especially the door sounds, they're amazing.

Coming from a vic owner myself, This needs more work. The door sounds are perfect, no need to fix anything there. But the echo within the vic sounds and the quietness of it is an issue. When people think of a vic, you want a loud roar.

Overall good job so far.

I understand, the quietness is always an issue no matter what. There is a physical limit as to how loud an audio file can be and there is no way (that I know of) to increase the volume in GTA V. I tried my best, poured hundreds of hours into it and I assure you, it's pretty much as loud as possible. Also, by "echo is an issue", did you mean you want more or less echo?

Thank you for the feedback as well :)

Looking for less echo, but honestly its GTA 5, things cant be perfect.

Did you try the new update (1.10)? I attempted to increase the volume on that one.

You probably exceeded the size limit for the vehicles.awc file, meaning that any other sound mod you might've gotten is conflicting with mine. Try using a stock resident.rpf.

Did you remove your resident.rpf from mods/x64 and then restart with a new one, creating a new vehicles + vehicles.oac and putting my sounds in it?

Strange, when me and Kallus tested the files ourselves, it worked fine. Do you hear the door sounds but not the engine?

(p.s, you don't have to call me sir)

Are you sure you're replacing the files correctly? Try it again. Make sure you're replacing the npc files in STREAMED_VEHICLES_GRANULAR_NPC and the non npc in STREAMED_VEHICLES_GRANULAR.

I followed the instructions swapped both NPC and non NPC. The vic still sounds the same and now my sirens, tire screech, doors sounds have all gone quiet. any ideas? thanks
