BetterDispatchAudio 2.2

(39 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Are you tired of hearing "IN, UHHHHHH"? Tired of "DIS BOBCAT 4 EN ROUUUTEE!!!"? So was I. So I fixed that. Better Dispatch Audio (B.D.A.) includes completely new AI Responding Audio (from NFS Most Wanted). Calling for backup (and Helicopter Support) will trigger this. Ending a callout from Albo's "Assorted Callouts" or "Traffic Policer" and finishing up with "BetterEMS" will also trigger new audio, changing "We are Code 4, no further units required" to "All Units you can clear this call, return to patrol". Pursuits are much more immersive. This has been a several weeks long process, with restless nights, and my 1'st mod. I'm happy to release it here for the community. Please let me know what you think of it, and enjoy.

Works with...

LPCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

HeroCop

AssortedCallouts

TrafficPolicer

AgencyCallouts

BetterEMS

CodeRedCallouts

ArrestWarrantCallouts

PeterUCallouts

ArrestManager

VocalDispatch

Tacco's Highway Callouts

OJ's Plugins

Streetname Addon (All streets)

Standard Dispatch version works with just about any callout pack.

Installation : Simply drag and drop the provided folders to their designated locations. A ReadMe.txt has been provided for your convenience.

A special thanks to mikegolden Games and Gallonman20 on Youtube, for taking interest in this mod, and uploading videos about it. Please check out their channels, as they both do fantastic LSPDFR related Content, plus more :woot:

*Disclaimer* Audio used in these videos is outdated by about a year. These sounds were from the very beginning stages, and the mod is much more cleaned up these days.

What's New in Version 2.2

Released

2.2

If you don't like the Custom Dispatcher's voice, please download the "Standard Dispatch" version. Yes, I brought it back

I've updated this mod, to keep up with all recently released callout packs (including Tacco's Highway callouts released recently, honestly perfect timing bud)

Callout pack not compatible? Link me to it, and I'll see about adding that in. I won't add it if it's no longer a supported plugin however (meaning, incredibly outdated and buggy). The callouts I have now, I have personally verified that they are working properly on the latest RPH and version of GTA.

You forgot to change that folder for Assorted Callouts (it's still the default)

Are there any noted crashes following the add of this mod? For some reason, I am having LSPDFR crash and I am not sure if it is this or some other mod.

This mod only replaces audio files. There are no files here that would cause a crash. That would be related to either an outdated plugin/script (callouts) or a bad .meta (modded vehicles).

Fixing this issue now. Thanks for the heads up!

Ah, right. I'll update again here in a day or so. Unless I get some free time today. Completely forgot lol.

I was granted the free time necessary. Uploading a nice bunch of new audio now, and fixed LPCallouts Audio.

When I finish a callout instead of saying the call is code for the dispatcher just is silent

This depends on which callout you finish. The new audio only triggers for AssortedCallouts and TrafficPolicer.

PoliceScanner folder goes to GTAV/lspdfr ...... AudioRelated goes to GTAV/plugins/lspdfr/policeradio

Open the "NormalPitchLink" folder. It will give you a link to the NormalPitch Folder (via Mega.nz). Copy and paste the link into your Internet browser.

Really nice, better then default. All we need now is a script that can relay the street names the suspect is heading on. Like when officers update dispatch and officers in a chase.

I'd love to! Problem however, is that we'd have to rename all streets (that appear on screen) in GTA V to something that would match the audio. I sadly have no idea how to do that. For now, we're working on replacing what we can, which is easier said than done. We get audio that sounds great, makes sense, and works with situation A, but ultimately fails with situation B. The cycle continues ha ha. But we're working on it.

well even if you were to use the default street name audio it would be possible. but how to script it is the next part. lol

What I mean is, we're using audio from NFS Most Wanted (2005), so the street name audio doesn't match up with the in game GTA V Streets. So we'd have to change them for the audio to make sense.

I love the new audio!!!

I just had a few concerns, so far:

  1. I feel like some of the new Arrest Manager response audio is a bit intense. Some of the audio clips make it seem like you're requesting backup to a shots fired, but it's just asking another officer to pick up the dude in your back seat.
  2. People may not agree with me, but I think it was better to have "let's bring this guy down" as a NOOSE response rather than making it seem like your character is saying it. I kind of feel like it takes away from the immersion because the voice doesn't match the one I have set for my character. Again, it could just be me that feels this way
  3. Some of the 10-99 audio for police radio is a bit intense. It's really cool for some things... but a bit too much for others. For example: I did a plate check and it came back with a suspended license; the dispatch lady gave me a 10 second warning message about how the guy was a wanted criminal and how careful I needed to be...

Not trying to bash your mod, believe me! I just wanted to give my feedback, Keep up the good work, cheers!

Roger that, I hear ya. We're still touching up this mod, but that's one Hell of a task. What works in some areas, destroys others, so finding the right balance is tough. Many plugins use the same audio files etc. But I'll take all of this into consideration, and I'll swap out the NOOSE audio soon

Yeah, NFSMW has over 13k audio files to sort through. Then it's seeing which audio in the Police Scanner folder does what where. Trying to decide whether to replace an audio file with another, edit a new audio file, or leave/edit the old file. Lots of trial and error. Though it's much easier than the audio mod I'm currently working on (I'll drop a hint, kifflom), where I have to replace audio IN the game files. But we still can spend all day sorting, picking what we think is the best audio, then putting it in game and it sounding horrible. That being said, we're both working our butts off sorting, editing, tweaking, and reading your feedback! Keep it coming!
