BetterDispatchAudio 2.2

(39 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Are you tired of hearing "IN, UHHHHHH"? Tired of "DIS BOBCAT 4 EN ROUUUTEE!!!"? So was I. So I fixed that. Better Dispatch Audio (B.D.A.) includes completely new AI Responding Audio (from NFS Most Wanted). Calling for backup (and Helicopter Support) will trigger this. Ending a callout from Albo's "Assorted Callouts" or "Traffic Policer" and finishing up with "BetterEMS" will also trigger new audio, changing "We are Code 4, no further units required" to "All Units you can clear this call, return to patrol". Pursuits are much more immersive. This has been a several weeks long process, with restless nights, and my 1'st mod. I'm happy to release it here for the community. Please let me know what you think of it, and enjoy.

Works with...

LPCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

HeroCop

AssortedCallouts

TrafficPolicer

AgencyCallouts

BetterEMS

CodeRedCallouts

ArrestWarrantCallouts

PeterUCallouts

ArrestManager

VocalDispatch

Tacco's Highway Callouts

OJ's Plugins

Streetname Addon (All streets)

Standard Dispatch version works with just about any callout pack.

Installation : Simply drag and drop the provided folders to their designated locations. A ReadMe.txt has been provided for your convenience.

A special thanks to mikegolden Games and Gallonman20 on Youtube, for taking interest in this mod, and uploading videos about it. Please check out their channels, as they both do fantastic LSPDFR related Content, plus more :woot:

*Disclaimer* Audio used in these videos is outdated by about a year. These sounds were from the very beginning stages, and the mod is much more cleaned up these days.

What's New in Version 2.2

Released

2.2

If you don't like the Custom Dispatcher's voice, please download the "Standard Dispatch" version. Yes, I brought it back

I've updated this mod, to keep up with all recently released callout packs (including Tacco's Highway callouts released recently, honestly perfect timing bud)

Callout pack not compatible? Link me to it, and I'll see about adding that in. I won't add it if it's no longer a supported plugin however (meaning, incredibly outdated and buggy). The callouts I have now, I have personally verified that they are working properly on the latest RPH and version of GTA.

Installed it and LOVE IT! Is there any way to have a version of this that keeps the original dispatch pitch? (but still gets rid of the "uuuuuuuh")

I may consider that. However, it will be a while as I'll have to go through the files again, of which there are many. I'll probably try to get that done within a week or so

I second this. An option with the original dispatch pitch would be great! Loving the mod so far

Alright, new version is out. LSPDFR wouldn't allow me to upload it alongside the original, but a link is provided for the "Normal" version

Good job, HeroCop is missing, that's the only relevant plugin that lacks (alongside secondary callouts

And I heard you made another sound mod (with real gun sounds) and I was wondering, are you going to release it someday ?

Sounds great! I just noticed today that some of the response audio is louder than the rest. Just a heads up. One of my top favourite modifications so far!

I do not have a PoliceRadio folder to place the audio related folder, am I supposed to create one? Also, if I create one, should I drag the folder over, or the contents. ie. plugins/lspdfr/policeradio/audiorelated, or plugins/lspdfr/policeradio/ and contents of audiorelated

@Steele1925

I love the new audio, but I seem to hear something along the lines of "I just pulled up, I'm at your 6" constantly..

Can you possibly add some more options or change how often that one comes up?

You don't have a PoliceRadio folder because you don't have the Police Radio plugin.

Yeah I'm actively searching through audio, looking for more responses. Problem is, they just don't seem to be there. For now, there are only 4 options available. But if you find anything, send it my way

If you don't use PoliceRadio mod, then you don't need the "Audio Related" folder at all.

Did you keep some of the original GTA5 ones, as well? I don't think I've heard any of them.

Most might be pretty blah, but there are some good ones that would add more variety, if nothing else. Thanks for the quick response, too!

I replaced the original GTA files. If I cannot find enough, then I'll probably add a few of the good (tolerable) ones back in.

Slight update... Just found 2 that I can use. If I can find 2 more, then I'll release an update here

The 2 videos shown were from 2 YouTuber's by the names of Gallonman20 and mikegolden Games. I personally use a mix of sirens (thanks to SirenMastery by Albo1125). I use a FedSig Rumbler Siren (8 tone version) for the Phaser and Manual, and a Whelen 295 (something like that, it's local here) for the Horn, Wail, and Yelp. I'm not sure which sirens Mike or Gallonman use however.

Any chance of adding compatibility with LPCallouts?

Sure! I'll get to work on that one.

I would give it another 5 Stars if I could. I'm loving the new update even more than the original.

Also, thank you for the excellent response time.

Hiya! I forgot to include an important detail. LPCallouts is coded to match response audio for the folder "other_units_taking_call"

I would recommend not replacing the audio for this particular folder as it messes up the immersion. If you want me to clarify I'd be happy to. (Sorry if this was confusing)
