Previous users: The new FPIS has taken the police4 slot and the CVPI has been moved to police7. MAKE SURE YOU RUN THE UNINSTALLER PRIOR TO INSTALLING THIS UPDATE!

After a long wait, I am proud to finally release my LSPD Pack with ELS Style Lighting! This pack now includes a total of 7 Vehicles:

  • police - 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited
  • police2 - 2015 Dodge Charger PPV
  • police3 - 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Utility
  • police4 - 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan
  • police5 - 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility
  • police6 - 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV K-9 Unit (slicktop)
  • police7 - 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Demonstration video:

These vehicles have been under development for several months and are fine-tuned and should be relatively bug-free (knock on wood). The installation package will modify your vehicles.meta to allow multiple liveries for all vehicles as well as changing the handling line for the police and police3 slots. This can be easily undone using the Uninstaller package included in the download. All vehicles feature HD 4k skins made by @TrentMU and possess a variety of extras, including:

  • Setina Rambars
  • Stalker Radar Units
  • Panasonic Arbitrator Dashcams
  • Prisoner Partitions
  • Passenger-side Spotlights

Installation Instructions

  1. Launch OpenIV and select Grand Theft Auto V.
  2. Click Tools -> Package Installer.
  3. Select "LSPD Pack Installer 1.0.0.oiv."
  4. Click install and choose whether to install to your mods folder (highly recommended) or directly into your game (not advised).
  5. Launch GTA V and enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: The package installer fails partway through. How can I fix this?

A: The package installer modifies your vehicles.meta to change just a few lines so that the vehicles will be multi-livery enabled and handle correctly. If you are having problems installing the package, please install a clean vehicles.meta into mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/ and then try again. A clean vehicles.meta can be found HERE. Alternatively, you can run the uninstaller package included in the download prior to reinstalling the package.

Q: My package installed successfully but my game is crashing while loading. How can I fix this?

A: If you experience crashing while loading, you probably don't have a gameconfig.xml configured to allow add-on cars. There are a few different gameconfigs which different people are reporting as working. You can find a gameconfig.xml to fix your crashing problem HERE, or if that doesn't work, HERE.

Q: I've installed the package but my lights do not seem to be working. They are showing up in the wrong places or not flashing correctly, why?

A: This mod uses a custom carvariations.meta to assign custom sirensettings to each vehicle included. If the lights are not working correctly, another mod you have installed is causing a conflict with this carvariations.meta. Please check all installed mods for a carvariations.meta file (it will be located in common/data/ within a DLC folder). If you have another carvariations which assigns a sirensetting to police, police2, police3, police4, police5, or police6, delete those vehicle entries from it and see if the issue is resolved.

Q: I've installed the package and my vehicles are working in game, but the lights are not bright like they are in the screenshots. How can I fix this?

A: You will need to install a light-enhancing graphics mod as well as set your Post FX and Shader settings to High. I would recommend installing Radiance V.

Q: I like this pack! Where can I find more vehicles like it?

A: Be sure to check out my Sheriff and FIB Replacement Pack here:

This pack is provided as-is with no form of warranty. These files are not to be modified, redistributed, ripped, or otherwise exploited in any way, shape, or form. These files are exclusive to LCPDFR.com and are not to be reuploaded elsewhere. When uploading textures, do not reupload the vehicle models. Upload the textures only and include a link to the original vehicle pack download.

Please report any bugs in the comments section so I can address them.

Enjoy!

Hi ladies. So now that ScriptHook has updated it's release time. This is a pack I have been working on for the better part of the last month in a half, and I am actually very proud of it. The pack is based on Fort Worth, but the actual cars are not accurate to those, just the liveries, window templates, and lightbar are equal to Fort Worth and some of the pushbar setups. The pack comes with 13 different vehicles ranging from SUVs like FPIUs and Tahoes, Pickup trucks like Silverados and Sedans li

I can't wait to check these out! Is there any chance of having a steelies version for the cvpi. It looks really out of place with all the other steelie vehicles, and I'd love to replace my whole lspd fleet with yours, which includes a cvpi.

I agree. Thank you so much for this pack, it is absolutely amazing. But, I would really like to see steelies on the CVPI.

I got  QUESTION . i AM new at modding. How do i add more slots like police 4 5 6 . like for instance i have your sheriff and Fbi one aswell but i dont see sheriff 3 the crown vic because its never been created how do i create it

@Mike P818 there are a few different ways to add vehicles. If someone has a package installer then you go to openiv, go to tools, and install package and select the package. If you want to add a vehicle to someone else's dlc (like bcso), which is what I usually do, then you need to add the vehicle to your vehicle.metas file, and create a carvariations for it in the carvariations.meta file. Just name the car whatever name you want, make sure the handling ID matches with what the car is profiled for according to the modder, and your good to go.

make sense? This particular package has its own carcols.ymt file so it's a little unique because the siren settings have been tweaked. So if you want to have the sirens work for these cars, its best to download and install the whole package using openiv. He includes a vehicles meta and carvariations for you.

Also, the only way to see add on vehicles is to spawn them using a trainer. If you really know what you're doing you can go into popgrous file and get them to spawn in game, but you won't just magically see them in the game without a trainer or changing some files.

thats the problem i dont know how to do all that, like create a carvariations for it or even add vehicle to vehicle.metas file. and the handling ID.

if i had instructions to do so i would nail it. but i dont at this moment

I am on the latest patch. What I am going to try real quick is removing pieces in the mod folder that use similar slots and see if that works.

EDIT: Did not work, still crashes on loading.

The only work around that works as far as I know is copying the custom sirensettings from this to the original carcols, but it's pretty time consuming.

@thegreathah @ShapStarr Have either one of you downloaded a new gameconfig file? After this latest patch any added dlc will probably crash the game without getting a new gameconfig file. Just look on GTA 5 mods for one that is compatible with the new rockstar update.

@ShapStarr ok, I will do my best. In update/update.rpf/common/data there is a file named gameconfig.xml. You will need to go to gta5mods dot com and type in gameconfig. There should be one for the latest rockstar patch. Download the file and drop it in the area I mentioned, replacing the old game config. It allows for more add-on cars and add on peds

I appreciate the help...i was able to find the download here -

    https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gameconfig-for-patch-1-0-757-2-update-at-each-r-update

I replaced the file using open iv and the game appears to be working as intended again.

    Thank you for the help!

@Mike P818 honestly, you're best bet is to take a look on youtube and find tutorials on how to add on vehicles. Telling you may be confusing, and seeing it being done might be easier for you.

Most modders include both a vehicle meta and carvariations for the cars that they put on the site. What it usually takes is copying and pasting them to the vehicles.meta and carvariations in a dlc package that you've already installed (I would personally recommend bcso). The way I learned how to do it is by opening up the vehicles and carvariations metas and looking at what's already there. By doing that I understood how to add new data on to that. It's really hard to tell you how to do it. Seeing it for yourself or watching someone do it on YouTube is probably your best bet.

Modding takes a bit of time to learn and understand. Prepackaged deals like this one cut that down to nothing by doing all the work for you. However, if your game crashes after adding them, thank as I've said to others, you probably need a new gameconfig file.

@ShapStarr awesome! There's nothing worse than having your game crash on you after adding content you really want. It always makes me tense. I'm glad I could help.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled twice now because I couldn't figure out what was causing my game to crash when the biker DLC first dropped. Good to know it was the vehicles all along. haha.

Oh, that sucks! I know the feeling. I can't tell you how many times I've reinstalled this game while learning how to mod. I'm so glad for no data caps (atm). Glad you're back on your feet!

@Captain14 I'm glad I could help! I tried out this package and everything is sexy! I probably won't personally use it because the els is a little too fast for me. It kinda gives me a headache :). I know I could turn the bpm down but it probably won't look as good.

With that said, your ELS is one of the best out there. The intensity and reflection seems perfect to me, and I was wondering if you had considered doing a carcols tweak to the default light settings? If not, I'll take a look at my current carcols and see where your numbers are different than mine and play around with it a bit. I'm just really impressed!
