PatrolMDT v6.9 - The Future of Roadside Intelligence

PatrolMDT serves as the modern replacement for legacy plate readers such as ALPR Lite, using the CommonDataFramework to ensure seamless and instant compatibility with CompuLite, ReportsPlus and MDTPro. While it handles standard detection for stolen vehicles and expired documents, PatrolMDT does all that and far more by integrating live intelligence feeds, visual observations, and real-time weather alerts.

DEMO ONLY - YOU TUBE DEMONSTRATION - MAX SETTINGS - DEMO ONLY

In the standard game, license plate readers are usually just a "beep" and a blip on your map. You end up chasing icons and reacting to computer notifications without much context. This breaks immersion because you aren't really watching the world; you're just watching your radar. It makes traffic work feel like a repetitive mini-game rather than actual police work.

PatrolMDT fixes this by turning your cruiser into a high-speed intelligence hub. It connects you to the world with actual information you can use, like digital driver headshots that pop up with scans, localized crime briefings for the specific neighborhood you’re in, and weather warnings that affect how you should drive. It’s designed for players who want a reason to make a stop that goes beyond a random notification.

🛠️ The Core Engine: "The Intelligence Hub" The script works by using a customizable 6-camera setup that watches all sides of your car. It scans nearby vehicles for documentation issues and felony flags, but it also uses a "visual" logic to spot things a real officer would notice—like a driver not wearing a seatbelt or a smashed side mirror.

When the system flags a vehicle, it doesn't just give you a name; it takes a picture of the the driver to avoid "it wasn't me" in the court room The plate readers have also been minimized to fit into motorcycles and light bars. It handles all the background work to decide how "criminal" your patrol area is based on settings you choose in the config file. It also watches the clock and the sky, pushing out shift briefings and weather updates that actually match what is happening in your game at that exact moment.

🚦 Violation & Feature Profiles

🔴 1. Felony & Stolen Hits These are the most serious alerts, covering stolen cars and wanted people. They show up as red hits because they are the highest priority.

  • Roleplay Tip: Since you get a driver headshot with the hit, compare the photo to the person behind the wheel before you approach the window.

🟠 2. BOLO & Caller Reports These orange hits represent reports from "citizens," like someone calling in a drunk driver or a vehicle leaving the scene of a theft.

  • Roleplay Tip: Use these as a reason to follow a car for a few blocks to look for "probable cause" like weaving or speeding.

🟡 3. Documentation & Compliance Yellow hits are for the "paperwork" violations—expired tags, no insurance, or an expired driver’s license.

  • Roleplay Tip: These are great for roleplaying a "proactive" officer who focuses on cleaning up the streets through equipment and registration stops.

🔵 4. Plain View Observations (PVO) These are cyan alerts for things you see with your own eyes, like a broken mirror held on by duct tape. These don't require a plate scan to pop up.

  • Roleplay Tip: Use these as "pretext stops" to pull over a suspicious car and see if the driver is hiding something more serious.

📦 Installation Guide

  • Prerequisites: Requires a working installation of LSPDFR and CommonDataFramework (https://www.nuget.org/packages/CommonDataFramework)

  • Deployment: Drop PatrolMDT.dll and PatrolMDT.ini into your \Plugins\LSPDFR\ folder.

  • Configuration: The .ini file is very detailed. You can change how often flags appear and move the camera positions to fit different police car models.

UPDATE NOTE: Plugin Compatibility & Stability Fix

***Corrected and tested the compatibility between PatrolMDT's Plate Reader and Policing Redefined.

What has changed: Previously, the plugin would experience a crash—specifically when using Policing Redefined and activating the Plate Reader—if Stop The Ped was not also installed. I have completely overhauled the internal logic to remove this dependency. The plugin is now fully "standalone," meaning it no longer requires specific external files to run its detection engine.

What to expect in-game:

  • Total Flexibility: You can now use Stop The Ped, Policing Redefined, both together, or neither. The plugin will function perfectly regardless of your mod setup.

  • Plate Reader Stability: The crash that occurred when activating the Plate Reader while running Policing Redefined has been fully resolved.

Installation: Replace your PatrolMDT.dll in your /Plugins/LSPDFR folder.

Add the CommonDataFramework.dll to your Plugins/LSPDFR folder

Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR\CommonDataFramework.dll

If you updated to the current version and add in CommonDataFramework.dll, all parts should work. Thanks for taking a few minutes to post!

awesome doing that now, because I did put it in this along with the xml file and my lspdfr kept crashing but i will remove the xml. I noticed it generated a commondata framework folder with a settings ini inside it as well. But I am going to run it again now and see what happens back in a sec! Does this work for GTAV-LEGACY? dumb question because it was partially working in the previous version.

this is my Plugins/LSPDR folder this update is crashing my game, where as the previous version had the other features working except for the ALPR system which would crash LSPDFR only when I activated it. This is current version of CommonDataFramework. Is the STOP the PED mod causing this crash, I saw somewhere you asked to move the STP file to another directory?

Post your logs, we'll get you straightened out :)

RagePluginHook.Log from your main directory

PatrolMDT_Blackbox.log which is in your Grand Theft Auto\Logs folder.

Is the CDF xml file suppose to go somewhere else, If its just something else causing these crashes, I might just delete this version and go back to the other one and stick with Legacy ALPR-LITE. But I like how your mod works but it just doesnt seem to working out for me.

Finally got this resolved! Works like a charm now! Its showing the faces sometimes while it has faces blurred on some violation notifications. But the ALPR works without crashing the game. It turns out you need to go into that "CommonDataFramework" folder and add a folder called "PostalXMLs" just leave it empty. The mod needs to see that folder to make it work properly!

ALPR-LITE is officially retired, this is so much better with it showing images of the driver and vehicle blip showing the vehicle commiting the violation. This works great for those stolen vehicle alerts too!

Thanks for the assistance BJUSA!
