Realistic Lightbar Responce Status

🚨 Realistic Lightbar Response Status – for LSPDFR

Realistic Lightbar Response Status enhances patrol realism in LSPDFR. This plugin focuses on the sounds and immersion for realism.

This works alongside with ELS which adds a beep sound periodically to notify you to know that your lights are on when they are activated once when the lights are in Stage 3 or Code 3.

THIS WORKS ALONG SIDE OF ELS BUT DOES NOT REPLACE IT ITS WORKS FOR THE CUSTOM BEEP SOUND.WAV THAT IS MADE FOR THIS PARTICULAIR PLUGIN.

A lighting status beep sound, coming soon with an buzz interior sound.

Thank you for pointing out the error for the ini file all of the errors have been fixed. Let me know if there is anymore. You don't have to do it manual in the ini you can pick the key for the menu in the menu, and it will update the key binding automatically in the ini file.

Great mod, been playing with it for a bit before the upd, but the newest version has an issue:

In the old version, the mod's files were named "EmergencyLightingResponseStatus" and in the new version while this was fixed and everything has the correct name now as on LSPDFR, "RealisticLightbarResponseStatus", the actual mod still relies on the old folder for it's config, as when you load in the plugin, it creates a folder (if you didn't have it beforehand) under that old name, thus ignoring the new folder, and using everything in the old one.
^^^ This is confirmed by putting in the beep.wav in the old folder, which makes the plugin work as intended for first time install users, and editing the .ini file in the same old folder, which the mod also reacts to.

This is in the plugin except the sound folder was not change but I have an update coming for it.

public static readonly string PluginFolder =

Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "Plugins", "RealisticLightbarResponseStatus");

public static readonly string BeepPath = Path.Combine(PluginFolder, "beep.wav");

public static readonly string IniPath = Path.Combine(PluginFolder, "RealisticLightbarResponseStatus.ini");

private static readonly string LogPath = Path.Combine(PluginFolder, "detected_models.log");

nah

Bug report for the "beep.wav missing" error with most recent update..

The Plugin RAR and the Sound RAR ship inconsistent folder names. Decompiling the DLL strings confirms the plugin is hardcoded to look for assets in a folder named EmergencyLightingResponseStatus, with these specific filenames:

EmergencyLightingResponseStatus\

EmergencyLightingResponseStatus.ini

beep.wav

detected_models.log

But the Sound 3.0.1 RAR extracts beep.wav into Plugins\RealisticLightbarResponseStatus\ instead, so the DLL fires the "beep.wav missing" red text on load. Looks like a leftover from when the project was renamed from "Emergency Lighting Response Status" to "Realistic Lightbar Status Audio" — the DLL paths and the README still reference the old name, but the sound pack uses the new one.

Workaround for users: move beep.wav into Plugins\EmergencyLightingResponseStatus\ (and use EmergencyLightingResponseStatus.ini for config — that's the one the DLL actually reads). The RealisticLightbarResponseStatus folder can be deleted.

Proper fix: repackage the Sound RAR so it drops into EmergencyLightingResponseStatus\, OR rebuild the DLL with the new folder name and update the README to match. Either way the two packages need to agree on one name.

Thanks for the plugin!

Also.. I recommend to end the confusion once and for good.. just put the dang sound file/folder and main stuff together as 1 zip everyone downloads.. no reason to separate the downloads.

@carkiller25 I have now updated it try and test the mod out to see if it works for you I have removed the menu for the Plugin altogether.

EmergencyLightingResponseStatus.zip
Here, I just put my old one into a zip here for y'all because it works for me (I did not download your most recent version since this works perfectly fine on my end). Just drag the plugins folder into your game I already put the folders/file names exactly how they need to be etc. Hope that helps anyone/everyone.

@JM Modifications I did this because I think what people are having issues with is @TimmyLuke017 Gaming has released several variations of this and for some reason has renamed it like.. several times.. and honestly the whole dll got screwed up and folder/file names are all screwed up and make no sense now.. so it is not working for many people.

The folder that goes in plugins should be named EmergencyLightingResponseStatus
The dll that goes in the plugins folder should be named Realistic Lightbar Status Audio

Inside of the EmergencyLightingResponseStatus folder should be 3 files:
beep.wav
detected_models.log
EmergencyLightingResponseStatus.ini

Hope that clarifies why I just put my zip file.. because it is hecka confusing with conflicting/different names, files not being in the right folder/sections, etc.

The name of the mod is supposed to be RealisticLightbarResponseStatus name the folder with the sound that's in it. It's not EmergencyLightingResponseStatus no more the file should work because it is in the script

public static readonly string PluginFolder =

@TheTechSupportDude Thank you for cleaning up the file mess. I have also cleaned up the README with the correct names inside of it. Sorry for the confusion and all of the constant updates because some people wanted features for the plugin and the menu was having trouble, so I took it out the menu of the script. And I don't know of what kind of issues is other people having so they wanted me to update the script.

@TimmyLuke017 Gaming If you aren't going to tell people that an update came with a different-named DLL file name (and assembly name), they are 100% going to end up with both installed.

This is what is in the file its RealisticLightbarResponseStatus there no other name I don't know where you're getting that from but that's not true information I'm a new learner at making scripts and plugins. So, I don't know why you are coming off on me like that.

I neither know why you think I'm coming off on you "like that", nor if you know what the assembly name is. The assembly name (if not specified, defaults to the name of the .csproj file) is the name of the plugin's DLL file after compilation/building.

Before this update, the DLL file name and assembly name of this plugin were 'Realistic Lightbar Response Status', but after the update, they are 'Realistic Lightbar Status Audio', which means that simple drag and drop has no chance of overwriting the older file (that only works if they are named the same).

AssemblyTitle is only for when you hover over the DLL file (so useless here). The AssemblyName value in the .csproj file is the only thing that matters here.
