On The Beat Callouts[WIP] 1.0.7.1

(8 reviews)

4 Screenshots

On the beat Callouts is my first Callout Pack and my first GTA V Plugin is general. Designed around standard, low to medium severity Callouts.

My aim is to develop the Callout Pack to fill in the gaps where other packs do not, giving you a more rounded and realistic feel to the patrol you are on.

Whats included in the pack so far:

  • Local Stolen Vehicle - Pursuit of a stolen vehicle in your local area

  • Drunken Disorderly - Possible intoxication on the streets of San Andreas
    • You will find a variety of people out on the streets, drinking a bit too much
    • Once you have stopped the suspect and are close enough, press Y to interact with the subject
    • Highly recommend StopThePed for additional interactions with suspect

  • Graffiti Call - 4 possible options for this call, respond in the mirror park area
    • Has 4 different options depending on a dice roll, make sure you check all 4 out to mix up your patrol
    • Unfortunately only has one location but will be adding more locations when i can
    • Animated and props to add realism to the callout

  • Suspicious Vehicle - with three slight variations to the callout. Eagle eyed officers will hopefully tell the difference.

  • Laser Pointer discharged at aircraft - this call can play out in a few ways, subtle differences but adds variety.
    • Has its own RageNativeUI Menu. Press (Default Y) the Speech button to interact with the suspect
    • Added immersive subtitles to fill you in with the situation as you approach

Planned for development:

  • Integration with LSPDFR+ by @Albo1125
  • Add custom inventories using the new 0.4.2 API
  • Continue to add RageNativeUI menu's into callouts in my Menu Pass Patches
  • Public Disturbance - Possible suspect disturbing the peace at location
  • Suspicious Behavior around locations in San Andreas
  • Shop lifting from store / petrol station
  • Car Crash without incident
  • Various Anti Social Behavior incidents
  • Adding animations and other props to add realism to the callouts
  • More...

INSTALLATION:

Drag and drop files into your \Grand Theft Auto V\plugins\LSPDFR folder

Please Read the README included in the download

Don't forget to adjust your ini file when installing / upgrading this callout pack.

Recommended Mods:

For the best experience i recommend downloading and installing the following mods which help expand the experience of my callouts

  • Computer+ (ComputerPlus) by @PieRGud version 1.3.0.0 or higher //// For computer interactions with callout logging and information about callout progress
  • Traffic Policer by @Albo1125 version 6.15.0.0 or higher //// Helps with traffic related interactions
  • StopThePed by @BejoIjo version 4.6.5.0 or higher //// Allows more interactions with stopping and processing peds during the callouts.
    • Adds ability to call taxi's or other support vehicles for peds during callouts
    • Adds the ability to process alcohol levels and intoxication of peds during callout
  • Police SmartRadio by @Albo1125 version 1.2.0.0 or higher //// Adds a quick and easy way to select options for callouts and adds functionality from other mods to enhance my own

Dependencies:

  • RAGE Plugin Hook - Open Alpha - 0.64.1234.15464 or higher

What's New in Version 1.0.7.1

Released

Current version 1.0.7.1

Updates:
* Added compatibility with LSPDFR 4.4
* Updated References to all mods previously used to their newest versions
* Added groundwork for CompuLite to replace ComputerPlus (Still with backwards compatibility)

stolen vehicle call out has already been done countless times....a more original call would be nice

There are a lot more callouts than the stolen Vehicle callout inside the pack. Though i do agree with you that its used countless times in other packs, its down to the fact that the style of callout that the API tutorials and callout tutorials teach you first. so its going to appear in multiple callout packs as people learn. Like myself.

As the pack expands i will probably remove the callout in the long run but at the moment it helps to flesh out the pack and was my first callout ever made a few months ago, so its staying for the foreseeable future.

While I'd agree it is a fairly common callout, I don't see the need to remove it (unless you want to of course.) If dispatch offers it up as a call, the player can opt to ignore it or use the End Call function. For anyone that's choosing their callouts via Callout Manager, they can also just ignore it. While I respect @J T's opinion, I don't feel that saying "stolen vehicle call out has already been done countless times....a more original call would be nice" is very helpful. I'd really enjoy seeing more calls added but I wouldn't worry too much about removing a call just because someone else has it in their pack too. Just my two cents.

this is a big reason why i rarely download call out packs because they use other calls that have been done before and theres so many other types that havent been done before its just depressing, i mean like....assault in progress..domestic dispute......road rage incident....mugging......gang activity......just to name a few and hell you can even listen to scanner feeds in la and see what kind of things that happen there and also look in the game files and see what crimes are already present in the game....i personally dont have interest in lspdfr until call out variety gets improved because right now its very stale

well i would not even respond to it and just roll my eyes at it because of how repetitive it is....i want fresh new original calls not ones that have been repeated before.....just frustrating

Well, what about making your own callout pack. Then you can have what you WANT. 🙄 But as long as you don´t do it, you have to be lucky that there are some callout packs.

Sorry, but the only thing which is frustrating are stuff like this. Be happy that there are people making this for all of us instead of complaining.

Not trying to be rude or anything, i respect everyone's opinions. Although some of the more mundane and repetitive callouts are part of a normal police officers day to day job.

My aim is that my calls will be filling a gap in the calls that are out there with more day to do calls that officer get. If your focus is on the very first callout i scripted ever and that only then you are missing 99% of this pack.

Agree and it's free.. except for the modder(s) who is using his free time to spend making these.

dude it's on your own discretion.. nobody ever asked you to play LSPDFR or download this callout.

if you don't like it, just don't play or don't download it. just stay away.. ok?

creating callouts/plugins is not easy and requires great time and efforts.

and since it is free, the author only need the appreciation nothing else....

ah yes the typical make your own comment...how original......i am happy but at the same time bored because how can you not know what has been done before? most people list the call outs in the description....and dont tell people to stop complaining that is lame as fuck....i have a brain i dont mindlessly rate everything a 5 out 5,thats the big problem with this site, when you rate everything a 5 out of 5 or say nothing but positive things you are going to get laziness in content thats just how it works....it also just makes this site look fake as hell....like north korea....say good things about dear leader or else...pshh whatever

Well, first of all I don´t rate anything 5 to 5 if I don´t like it. In fact I never rate something here becaue most times I totally forgot 😄 But there is a difference beetween  criticize someone or just complaining.

As example: If you had wrote something like: Hey Syedogg, I like your callout pack but I hope the variety of callouts will be improved. I have some ideas for this callouts... bla bla.

You write: I want this, i want that, I want variety, and if you don´t do what I want your callout pack is shit 😉

This is disrespectful at first and also you don´t have to WANT something. Syedogg makes what HE WANTS. He is lucky if people like his plugin, give him ideas and he learns with every work he do on it. But he isn´t here to fulfill your wishes. It´s sad that I need to tell this to someone who is older then me.

And it´s ridiculous that you complain about a callout that other callout packs have. You can ignore him. If he take it out there would be no difference for you. Not more callouts only one disabled. So what´s your problem. And if you don´t have interest in LSPDFR because of callout variety (which I cant understand because there is a lot of variety at moment) then leave it. Nobody carers. The people here use their free time to give us good plugins. This you should respect.

You are more than welcome to send me some suggestions for callouts you would see and i can see about adding them if i can make them work within my time frame and knowledge. I have no problem with feedback. I am in conversations with at least 3 people with constant improvements as it is. But take a chill pill man, its one repetitive callout among 5 so theres plenty more for you to do, specially as my graffiti callout has 4 outcomes picked at random + the way you handle them can be different each time you patrol.

Thank you for the support, though i do encourage feedback good or bad you are right, there are politer ways of doing it, or more well thought out and constructive ways at least.

one issue I found with the suspicious vehicle callout is that when you do a license plate check your custom character is listed as the registered owner of the vehicle hopefully you can fix this

Yes everything should work with 0.4.1 in the current update.

I really enjoy this callout pack. However, one thing I did notice is that grammar and to a lesser extent, spelling is extremely poor at times. Is there any way I could contribute as an "editor" of sorts to fix up subtitles, dialogue, etc? I'd love to help in any way I can. Thanks for the work you put into these unique and enjoyable callouts.

Sure, the fact i am Dyslexic might have something to do with it haha. If you would like to help i would never say no. You are welcome to contact me with your editions.

Ahh yes, that would make sense, lol 🙂 It'd be easier if you could somehow send me the dialogue lines (so I can see all of them instead of just whatever I come across in callouts.)

What is the charge I choose when arrest (or a fine) someone that is pointing a laser to an aircraft? (I use Computer+ and  USA Law pack)... Just curious...

Mod author may not have added an applicable charge, but something like reckless endangerment or similar could work if included.

I have the real charge included in my pack here if you're interested?
