[Contact me for any bugs of feature requests! As I had to transfer my entire code to Scripthook V there might be some tiny bugs that I will update in the next week ^^]

Hey everyone,

I managed to find my files for this script on my old PC!

I updated BasicCruiseControl to work again with the newer versions of Scripthook!

So: Lots of you want to keep it real, especially when it comes to speeds when on patrol in LSPDFR. And most of you know how hard and annoying that can be! The problem is, that this is pretty hard and can get annoying after a certain amount of time. That can be a big minus to "realistic" patrols, because you as a cop should absolutely stick to the speed limit. This plugin adds a basic cruise control/speed limiter/what ever you want to call it to the game that lets you select a speed your vehicle will never exceed. You can set the CC to hold (pause working) while you have your emergency lights on in the config file!

Installation

!! THIS IS A SCRIPTHOOK V .NET SCRIPT !!

1. Download Scripthook V from http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/ and follow the readme in it's RAR archive!

2. Download Community Scripthook V .NET from https://de.gta5-mods.com/tools/scripthookv-net and copy all the files to your GTA V main directory

3. (If you don't have it already) create a folder called "scripts" in your GTA V main directory

4. Drag BCC.dll and BCC.ini into that folder

Voilá!

Quick troubleshooting:

If you have vehicles spawning/weird things happening while using the PageUp and PageDown keys, that is most likely due to a trainer (like SimpleTrainer). Make sure to disable those keybindings in the trainers ini!

Worked perfectly fine on 2060 patch, however on 2189 it is indeed broken.

I can activate/deactivate the Cruise Control and the notifications appears alright, also adjusting up/down works for notifications, however the actual cruise control never seem to activate regardless of any setting. So I think it's very certain that 2189 broke it 😞

Hopefully a update will drop as this without question is the best Cruise Control as it disables itself in LSTG 3 automatically, I love that feature!

At first I thought it wasn't working. But I just figured out that It does but it's not a cruise control it's a speed limiter. This is the confusion. You still have to hit W to drive but it limits your speed so it looks like a cruise cont. But it could be better if it could keep the same speed even if you do not press W(taking your feet from the gas pedal).

@cityboyYes, I figured out and edited my message. It does not work like a cruise control but as a limiter. Still helps

This aint working for me 😕 I have to change the keys as PageDown is my dispatch key and PageUp spawns a useless red turismo behind me, I cant figure out a key to change it too as a lot of them are used for ELS and then other plugins

EDIT: after commenting this, I get in game and it works now lmao, FINALLY!

I love this plugin but unfortunately as soon as I am changing the limit (pgUp), red cars pop up behind me and the people in the car immediately start shooting. (I am playing the latest update of LSPDFR/RHP/ScriptHookV)

I don't think I'll update because it seems to work fine in the scripts folder.

I'm sure you have simple trainer and you need to disable key bindings in the trainerv ini. The PgUp keyboard number is 33 and in the trainerv ini. it says; SpawnADriverKey=33 //Spawn Attacking Driver/ped Default Pageup.

So you can change that key to something else or look for this line and put a 1 like I have; KeyBindingsDisabled=1 //Key Bindings (except menu keys) disabled on startup

Thank you very much for your quick response. You were right. I do have 'simple trainer'. I have set the key in trainerv.ini to 2 (it says this is the right mouse key, which I don't use anyways in this game) and tested it and it works......no evil drivers pop up anymore 😄

That's a weird one, very few people run into this, it must have something to do with your specific install/computer. Not saying you did something wrong! Clearly for some people there is some kind of conflict there... I'll try to work it out
