Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

Have you tried dragging the files to desktop first then dragging to GTA? Sometimes dragging straight from the zip messes things up.

Don't know what the initial problem was, but I tried uninstalling, redownloading, and reinstalling the models, ELS, and scripthook and all as a whole. Seems to be working fine for some reason, but thanks for the reply! GTA is a weird thing... lol.

    Does anyone have a good realistic ELS config setup?? Like where the range of lights is not super far and brightness off the walls is not to bright. I like being able to see the reflections off my surroundings but sometimes I can see it pretty far away. I have messed with the numbers but cant find a good set up. Anyone mind on sharing theirs if it is a pretty realistic one??? Thanks for any help or ideas.

    Seems like I can't change the key bindings for the controller. Even when I change the value, it's as though I didn't actually change anything. Set the value to 0 and it still activates as usual...

    I have an issue, I can't pull over cars with the sirens, I click shift then turn onto stage 3 and even main sirens wont make them pull over, how do I fix this?

    [Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out... I still had the default POLICE.XML file inside the folder. Removing it fixed the issue.]

     

    Why is ELS messing with non ELS vehicles? I have only one ELS car, unmarked, that I use in FBI slot. But for some reasons it disables components for non ELS vehicles. And I have zero doubt that this is caused by this mod, if I remove it I can change vehicle components again. So what is causing this? And how to fix it, please?

    I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem but most of my police vehicles cannot pull over vehicles. Only the 'sheriff' and 'police3' vehicles can pull over cars, when i try to pull over a vehicle with any other car, the ped freaks out and drives into walls. If you know how to fix this, please let me know.

    How do you get it to look this good? Mine looks like the radiance shines upwards like it would be foggy, and I cannot fix this, if someone knows how, it would be greatly appreciated.

    I have a problem. If i change my secundary lights (with K) the turnsignal starts. The same thing with the warning lights (with L). I tried to change the buttoms in the els config file but then this happend. HELP. Its stuck like this. (The turnsignals are not flashing, they are just switched on with a steady light)

    Are you planning on adding new features to this mod in the future? If so I'd really like to see an option for some more different siren sounds, because having different sirens for (els) fire trucks and (els) police cars would be really nice to have. Great mod so far though!

    Having allot of issues in getting this working with then controller. I Had this working fine in version 1.0 with siren mastery and never had any competability issues with free my controller (no phone and radio button) but now im unable to get this working at all, i even removed siren mastery and Restored the original controller meta deta file to no avail. The only buttons  that works is left thumb-stick and if i hold J for 3 seconds on keyboard, none of the the other controller buttons work and sometimes the UI does not even show up when I control-p. I even tried reinstaling rangehook and ASI and that did not do anything. Any help would be appreciated

    I've got a problem so yesterday I play gta as always and everything worked just fine but if I start my game today and spawn an els vehicle the "J" key and all other els keys wont work ...

    Any way to toggle only the Primary Lights? Also when pressing 'L for WRNL lights, is there a way to set them to default at pattern 5? They seem to start at 0.

    Hey everyone, quick question about AI behavior. (Ok, not so quick now that I proof read this)

     

    I've noticed that when the AI have their emergency lights activated they also always have their sirens on as well, as long as the officer is in the vehicle. For example; When arriving to a traffic stop backup call while the AI officer is sitting in his vehicle waiting for you to arrive his sirens are on, when he gets out the siren stops. We deal with the person and the AI officer gets back into his vehicle and sits there, again turning the sirens on as soon as he gets into the vehicle.

     

    Same goes for the ambulance and firetruck using the better EMS mod. I call EMS and both the firetruck and ambulance respond. Let's say it was just one injured person and the fire truck arrives first. When this happens the ambulance will arrive and the paramedics will sit in their vehicle waiting. As long as one of them remains in the vehicle, again they keep the siren going the entire time.

     

    Is this something that can be corrected by changing a setting or it that just how it is. I don't know if this has been asked before or not, but I don't really want to look through 46 pages of comments to find out haha

    Having a Pretty big issue here, I can't seem to get the ELS to work at all. 

    I have everything Up to date as far as RHP and all that.

    I have installed ELS via Albo1125's Video

    I have installed 1 ELS Car via Albo1125's Video

     

    When I enter game I Press CTRL + P the game Pauses and the ELS window doesn't show. I removed the Pause Keybinding from GTAV in Settings and still no ELS Window. I get into the ELS car and Turn on the Lights and the tailights and sirens come on but the lightbar doesn't.

     

    I've been going over this for the past 3 hours and I can't figure out why it's not working.

    ELS seems simple enough to install just Copy the files into the GTAV Folder.. Why won't the Panel show?

    I don't know much about the ELS config, but I use RadianceV with JeffFavignano's custom visual settings. If you look at any of his recent videos there's a link to it. RadianceV was a good start for me but I found that the lights themselves were WAY too bright, plus the brightness off the walls still was terrible. So I replaced the visiatsetting.dat with his and boom, problem solved on all fronts.

    are you sure you have the ELS asi and Advancedhook installed in the main GTA directory?

    Maybe try to uninstall then reinstall ASI loader and OpenIV.ASI in the ASI Manager. Restart PC.
