[OLD, 0.3 ONLY] LSPDFR Troubleshooter by Albo1125 1.13.2.0

This download is intended for LSPDFR 0.3 only. It WILL NOT work with LSPDFR 0.4 or above, don't download it if you use that!

LSPDFR Troubleshooter by Albo1125

This application checks for errors in your LSPDFR and RPH installations. It also checks for & fixes installation errors in my own mods, and various other popular ones.

Most errors can be automatically fixed by this application. If you're experiencing issues, give this a try!

To use: Launch the EXE file. Wait for LSPDFR Troubleshooter by Albo1125 to check for updates. Follow the procedures.

Developers: If you'd like me to add your plugin to the troubleshooter please let me know.

Why did I create this? To help reduce support time for myself and everyone doing so in the support forums and because I like playing with Windows Forms  To help people that are unable to read ReadMe files :teehee:

Obviously you didn't understand my point. This is a basic installation issue, If you watched the video you would know that.

And that's why this is the section you should be putting suggestions in. I cannot respond to a review properly as a review isn't designed for that - it is for giving feedback on the file itself, not for handing out suggestions. I can't reply properly to a review.

If the point made in your video is a basic installation issue, please type it again clearly as in that case it seems I'm totally missing your video's point.

Don't be all butthurt because I'm not kissing your ass and giving you 5 stars.

No need to chuck in attitude to me, thanks. I don't really care about the number of 'stars' you gave this. I deal with people respectfully and expect the same in return.

What I'm saying is if you're going to edit your registry and do a ton of other things like you do in your video, you should know what you're doing and already have a working installation. This tool is designed to help complete newcomers with no idea of what they're actually doing to get to the point of having a working installation, not to fix problems caused by doing advanced stuff and messing up.

The only thing that I've done in my video is have 2 directories. 1 for my Vanilla GTA V and 1 for my modded. The reason for editing my registry is because when you launch GTA regardless of which folder the .exe is in. It will only launch and load the files from the folder specified in the registry. This can help newcomers who had the same idea as me with having separate directories. This isn't that advanced...

Again, totally missing the point as to what this tool didn't manage to 'fix'.

It's just meant to check if that rph.exe is in the same folder as specified in the current registry value. If you run rph from your modded gta directory which is on the c drive but in the registry it says that gta is installed in the e drive, then nothing will load because all your mods are installed in c:\gta, and not the e drive. and rph loads the launcher which gets all its files from whichever directory the registry points to.

90% of the people playing LSPDFR can't even put mod files into the correct folders, but those mistakes can easily be fixed. Registry mistakes can stop a computer from functioning. There really is no need to mess around in the Registry unless you know what you're doing and should you make a mistake, you know how to fix.

I agree. but this is why it should be automated. By people who know what they are doing.

Ah, I see what you mean now...But I think that's beyond the scope of this tool.

Well, nobody's stopping you  Seems like a reasonable idea.

I wouldn't exactly trust a mod to edit my registry, Albo or not, no mod will ever mess with my registry, although thats just my opinion.

Well to be fair it isn't exactly a mod but more of a help tool. In the tool there could be a user check to ask if they want to edit registry and then ask again if they are sure.

We have no ill intentions (i hope :O) to do anything bad to the registry.

It's clear that you never knew about Angry Planes and NoClip mods then.

Basically, Angry Planes, when installed, did everything you downloaded it for. But, in the background, it installed a keylogger that logged every single keypress, because the virus wasn't there until you ran it, it got by all the virus protections that were in place at that time. Although the mod author soon said that no info was collected and that it was just a test, it did scare up the modding community a bit. I don't exactly know what NoClip had, but I heard about that too.
(In case your wondering, the currently released version of Angry Planes does not have any viruses.
Those were some dark times... I still don't even know if I fully got rid of the keylogger, but if it's still there, its on my old PC so idgaf.

All it takes is a small screw up in the edit to completely mess up GTA V, with most users then unable to find out how to fix it...

That's fucked up. I made a video on my registry edit method. I honestly can't see how its that bad.

Doing that is fine as long as you say something like 'this location of X might be different for you', just because some registries might be different to others through different Windows versions etc...

The things people will do behind the 'closed curtain' (@MSA much) of the internet is truly astonishing.

My problem is that i can´t automatically fix the errors. it says: Unable to obtain folder permissions. Please close all other applications before trying again.

I even started the .exe as Administrator.

You need to close all your Windows Explorer windows and GTA V and anything else that uses the GTA V folder you may have.

That being said, fixing the errors yourself can also be easily done by reading the error message and modifications' readme files.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.  I was having problems with callouts not loading except for yours. I uninstalled lspdfr and reinstalled and now it all works, I re downloaded this application to see if it would work, and the same thing kept happening. There were no applications running gta at the time either.

Doesn't work...I forgot to mention that I also tried changing folder permissions and ownership as well as the unlocker tool to stop process using GTA5.

Could be your antivirus. Just tried it multiple times and works for me without Administrator.

Will take a more indepth look into this once I finish my finals, currently rather busy.
