Hi there. Will there be an update coming for LML? Even after the latest Rockstar updates, I still have to disable vfs.dll for my game to run.

try 411 version of vfs.dll works for me 412 and 413 dont

So I gave it another shot. I manually deleted all of LML from my game and restarted my PC. Once it rebooted, I downloaded the latest version from LCPDFR and installed it as per the instructions. Game didn't run. Went searching on the net to see if I missed something and came across this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/PCRedDead/comments/z8feew/lenny_mod_loader_doesnt_work/ I downloaded Lennys Simple Trainer from the link and grabbed the file "version.dll" from the zip file. Put that into my GTAV root directory and bam! the game runs! Maybe LMS used the wrong .dll file in his latest update?

LML is not working after latest GTA 5 update! Either crashes game or doesn’t load any vehicles in game. Been trying to find a fix for the last 12 hours with no avail!!! Someone help!

The current version of LML 1.0.3504.0 is completely invalid. I cannot start the game normally after trying various versions. When will the new version of LML be updated?

@LMS Are you able to provide some clarity on this yet? It's either vfs.dll or version.dll that is wrong in the recent update.

As of 5/29/25 this does not work. Following the instructions provided in the red box also does not work. Seems like it was abandoned as its been a year since the last update and almost 6 months since the red box text was added as a work around. Its a shame because this made modding the game very easy.

Seems to be working fine for me thankfully.

This does work. You just have to launch Rage after GTA V launches into a blank screen. Read Cyan's messages on the top of the page bro.

I followed the instructions but couldn't get it to work. Guess maybe I should reinstall and try again? Will let you know my result.

lml is outdated, and the module cannot be loaded since the 3504 update. Can the official update be done?

Works just fine. You either probably installed it wrong or didn't load RPH after launching GTA V

After installing LML, the game doesn't respond at all. I have to remove the version.dll file to make the game run, but then LML won't be loaded either. How do you operate?

Load GTA then wait for it to launch completely to the legal screen then launch RPH.

I tried it according to your method, and opened rph when the game entered the selection interface. The current game version has no response when running with lml installed, so I had to delete lml's version.dll file first, then install version.dll, and finally click on the story mode, but only rph is loaded, not lml.

I have used lml for a long time. Before 3504, lml can run independently without rph, and it must be loaded when the game starts, just like openiv.asi, it will load the loaded module into the game, and it should not be able to run if it is loaded later. I wonder how you do it

People are correct. It's broken. Latest game update that happened just a few days ago broke it. No way to run the game with LML installed, no matter which version. Game just crashes on start up. LML should be updated, because IT DOES NOT WORK. Simple as is. And even if it does work for some people...it's NOT how it should be. It should work normally for all of us here, not just some, "oh it works for me" should not matter.

Your statement makes zero sense. In order to use LML, you need to read Cyan's messages on that mod page for a workaround. It works 100%, no update required.

What do you mean Cyan literally siad that there IS an issue and that their solution is a WORKAROUND. LML used to load in my game without the need for RPH. I never had it installed and everything was working fine. 

sSuch band aid solutions like the one Cyan mentioned were working ok for some, but if you need a band aid solution, then it doesn't mean that something works. It means that it's broken but can work if you do some weird tricks that you should not have to do. LML literally needs an update it's been 1 year + and game clearly changed if LML worked normally for 2 years for me and now it stopped.

LML can run normally in the latest game without the need for RPH. The reason I said it couldn't run before was that I was using an old version of LML. A few days ago, I accidentally found out that I was using the 2023 version. After switching to the latest version, it can run normally.
