By reflagging path nodes from Rockstar throughout the map, and by modifying every vehicle, acceleration has been made much faster and speed limits amplified - something that was long overdue.

  •  No other mods required 
  • Very minor glitches to be fixed ..

Well, sadly, I suffered an immediate crash to desktop with the "corrupted gamedata error" as soon as I launched the game. I suspect the issue is truly on my end.  All of the vehicles in my game, minus a few replacers, are configured as addons, and so each pack (there are 3) has its own vehicle meta for those cars. I know this file changes the vehicle.meta in update.rpf, which I've also made some changes too, mostly adding a removing flags, and so my inexpert opinion is theres some sort of conflict between how I have things set up and what re-roading  needs to do to work. I lack the ability to diagnose and fix the problem. 

If you'd be interested in offering some support, I'd love to talk on Discord or something. Devin L#3179. If not, I totally understand!

Hey bro, sorry about this. Deffo not expected behaviour, on another site this got 2000 downloads and I didn't get a lot of  crash comments. Anyway, hitting you up now can't wait to find out the cause. Thanks for letting me know

Thanks for reaching out. I know we talked on Discord, but I wanted to make sure I publicly confirmed the issue was 100% on my end and that its working great.

I don’t think this mod is the cause of all the crashes because every time I try to play lspdfr there is a crash for multiple reasons.... particularly in lspdfr/data....[WARN] gender, outfit....etc...

 

Be sure to watch all your plugins or scripts that are not up to date

1122 i was reading a topic you had been involved in that in editing vehicles.meta you took out FLAG_HAS_LIVERY . i have a hunch that its not true, but is that true? or is that misinformation ? if it is true would adding it back to some vehicles or in my case trailers cause issues?

Hey bro I'm actually, in the next release, gonna have 2 OIVs. One for "mass compatibilty" and the other for regular overiding install. Right now, literally every single vehicles .meta (expcet from the new casino dlc folder) is replaced when installing RR. So, it doesn't remove the livery flag, it just replaces the files with R*s default, and the inclusion of SPORTS_CAR which translates to max spee / either 77 - 88 MPH. In the next release, the new additional OIV will replace every vehicles meta still, but will feature extra flags for other people and the way they play. So far on my list is the livery flag, free wheel, avoid turns (LSPDFR players love a bitta that) and I'll also make every vehicle have "parking sensors" so there's no more drunk-looking drivers parking their cars.

 

Can you think of any other flags to become global modifiers?

I cant think of any off the top, i dont know too too much about the flags however FLAG_HAS_LIVERY is one im trying to add to trailer3 and the rest of the trailers that dont have it. im doing a project atm which replaces the standard trailers and adds a bunch of liverys to the replaced .... however i think it has a performance impact when adding too many liverys im starting to see flashing white. may be related to something else though i also have like 50 addon cars. at the level that im doing it... i added 13 liverys to one of the trailers.  it is nice for my 28' trailer (trailers3) to have the livery FLAG ,  because in the original game for some reason it didnt have it. therefore it was locked to 1 livery.
another project id like to work on is tweaking the commercial vehicles respawn frequencies.. so i could see more of said trailers.... my reason for that is in america and certainly LA soooo much of the traffic is commercial vehicles and tractor-trailers and in my game i rearly see them.  I think FLAG_HAS_LIVERY would be good to add to every single car by default if it doesnt cause issues... because some vehicles such as that trailer may use only one livery without it. 

other than that i am starting to look at collision and weapon damage from a vehicles.meta stand point... i have always tweaked it from the handling.meta ....

Merry Christ eve. I've actually found a few bad side effects from applying those additonal flags (and livery on its own) to every vehicle. More game engine mysteries for me to investigate! I'll be straight back on this project on the 27th

so if I copy the original vehicle meta files to the gta folder and paste them into the vehicle meta files in the mods, can we partially solve the problems arising from the mod?

because I am going to copy the vehicles_meta of my modified personal emergency vehicles, copy them and save them (in a new folder on desktop ect), then insert them in the correct slots after copying and overwriting all the vehicles meta with the original gta one, It is possible? I would like to try, I know by heart the destination of the vehicles that I installed, if I saved them and inserted them again later, would I change only the destination that overwrote the Oiv?

How do you delete this and get your old files back to normal? I thought I would enjoy this but I really don't like this mod.

@M.Williams Not our fault, community sucked with this. First of all not that many people gave me locations of glitches / blind spots due to hills when this was on Gta5-mods website, and now those 4 or 5 people aren't coming over here to comment locations and map screenshots

 

I am ONE guy, re-reoading all of the map and only like 10 people have contributed. This project won't be updated to A7 (with nearly all crash spots fixed and added speed variety) until after this month.

Sorry guys, dat 'real life' shit caught up wid me

Yo! I am glad to see you are still doing this as I was shocked to see that those kids got you taken down from the other site. 

 

I am not sure what version I have, but I know it was downloaded a day before those kids got you taken down. 

 

How do I know what version I have as compared to what you have here? 

 

Also I LOVE IT with LCPDFR!   

 

I get some car crashing at some spots a lot, BUT I look at it like this : In the city of L.A. there are a LOT of accidents daily, so scaled down to the size of the GTAV map makes the accidents I see probably statistically similar to what it would be of a bigger area!  

 

I look forward to learning how to tell what version I have and to watch this develop!

Anyway, thanks again and to tell what version you're on, either open the installer through OpenIV again, or just open the OIV package with 7zip and open assembly.xml. The version you have is most likely 5.5, which has a lot of crash spots. 5.6 is available here :)

 

Best of luck in using this, hope you find it enhances the world as much as the 3000 other people did on the other site.... what's that? I seem upset about it still? No I don't fuck you.

Yes, and thank you for making this. Just wondering if it's possible. I usually just do fresh installs when I run into issues like this, but having to wait for the game to install, time and time again, can get a bit annoying. Look, I've scrolled through the comments and I understand it's annoying that people are complaining but I tried my best to phrase my question as tactful as I could and you still dodged it..
