EUP Vest Skins [Discontinued] 1.10

I have a quick problem and I wasnt sure were to post it. When I download the file all i get are dds type files, their are no ytd.

There are no ytd files just the dds files. The install instructions are in the Install Readme in the download with step by step instructions.

I uploaded them as dds instead of ytd on purpose to force people to choose the vest textures they want to use and open the ytds to replace them rather than just trying to drag and drop them all in at once as ytd files. There is only a set number of ytd files for each vest model in OpenIV and as I add more vest options I will have more textures than there are ytd files available to replace. If I uploaded them as ytds people would just try to drag and drop them all at once and it wouldn't work and would cause confusion. I've explained this in the download as well as in the comments section.

If your having trouble read the Install readme in the download it has quick install instructions for people who are familiar with replacing textures (these install basically the same way you would replace a vehicle livery inside a vehicles ytd file)  It will  also walk you through how to put the dds files into the ytds that are already in OpenIV if you are not familiar with how replacing textures works. If you still have trouble let me know and I will try to help you figure it out.

Thanks bud and yeah I added a few different sheriff vests 👍 been trying to get some new things made just been so busy with work and stuff I haven't really been on pc much.

@GrandTheftPD I used to play LSPDFR but now I play FiveM, I know you can't switch the models over but is it possible to make models using those then switch them over to FiveM?

I don't really know how FiveM works so I honestly have no idea. I believe it is possible to use them on FiveM somehow but I'm not 100% sure and I don't know how to install things on FiveM so I can't really help. I am curious about it now though because if it is possible and someone knows how to do it I will add FiveM instructions to the download.

Where did you get the taser from?  That looks awesome with it

This is awesome, but I don't know where to put the large police vest. There's only state, sheriff, a couple other, but no police vest. If you could help me out with this, that'd be appreciated. Thanks. (I have looked at the readme)

All the skins for the large vest replace the textures in the ytd files for task_diff_10 located here:

(openiv > gtav > mods > update > update.rpf > x64>eup > eup_componentpeds.rpf > mp_m_freemode_01_mp_m_january2016)

I'm assuming when you say theres no police vest that you mean you went to that install location and there was no police skin by default for that vest model only a sheriff/sahp/fib/doa etc. Is that what you are confused about?

I haven't had the vanilla vest files in my game in a long time so I'm not sure what the vanilla skins for that model are anymore but I know it was a sheriff / sahp vest so it wouldn't suprise me if there wasn't a vanilla skin labeled for police.

That being said you can replace any of those skins (the sheriff/fib/sahp etc) for a vest with the police skin from my pack.

Hopefully I was right about what was confusing you and helped explain it for you if not let me know and I'll help you figure it out. Feel free to send me a pm if you still need some help and thanks for checking them out. I just made another handful of skins for the large vest and I'll make the matching versions for the small vest as well so I'll be updating again and adding some more stuff soon.

Good Work on those, I am having some trouble intalling it though, I am using a female character and tried to replace >task_diff_000_a_uni.ytd in >mp_f_freemode_01_mp_f_january2016, But the skins do not fit on the vest model... The model isn't an armor but more of a yellow traffic controller vest...  played around a bit and also tried to replace the skin for task_010_u.ydd since your skin fit on it but the ingame vest doesn't fit my female ped (too big)..

Don't know if you have an idea of how to help me out but i'd really like to use your skins!

Hey whats up so first of all thank you and hopefully I can help clear this up for you.

1. The smaller vest (task diff 000) does NOT work for the female unfortunately  because the female does not have that vest model. If you look back at the download you will see I said "The large vest works with the female character". That install location is for the large vest model (task diff 10) not for the small vest (task diff 000) which would be obvious when you went to task diff 000 and found a traffic vest instead of the small vest model that the skin is made for. So thats why you were having trouble trying to use the small vest (task diff 000) at that location.

2. The large vest skins from my pack (task diff 010)  WILL fit the task diff 010 vest model for the female located at that install location which it sounds like you figured out.

3. I've never used a female eup character or tested the vest on it but I know how the 2 vests work for the male and I think I may know why the vest appears too big. With the male characters and uniforms the small vest works for short sleeve uniforms and the larger vest (task diff 10) works for longsleeve uniforms. So if you wore the small vest with longsleeves the uniform clips through the shoulders of the vest and if you wore the large vest with short sleeves it would appear too big and loose in the shoulder area.

So correct me if I'm wrong but if I had to guess I would say you are probably wearing that larger vest (task diff 10) with a short sleeve uniform and it appears too big? If so try a longsleeve and see if it fits better.

Hopefully that helps you out if not let me know and I will help you figure it out. Like I said I haven't used female eup and don't know much about it but I'd like to figure it out so I can make the pack more friendly for the female eup peds. I know the large skins work for them but I'd like to find some more of the female vest models and make replacements for them. Feel free to pm me if you still need some help.

Alright, First of all thanks for your help! I tried the long sleeves uniform with no succes, even tried the coat to see if it would fit but without succes aswell. I think that the EUP Task 10 model is simply too big for females because even the vanilla armor skins are too big... Don't know if you want to make a skin for another armor that fits the female body but anyways here are some screenshots to show you what I meant.

That's really weird that it's in the female eup files but it doesn't fit the female ped. Have you found any vests that fit the female characters? If you do I can try to skin those instead.

The original is from the sheriff deputy by TrpCharles. My version is in my uniform packs. I have a new version with a different belt buckle I will be adding to them as well.

Yes it's an EUP belt. I can send it to you but you would have to wait until I can get on my pc. Added the new version to my lspd uniform pack on my page if you dont want to wait. In the eup folder of the uniform pack there are 2 accs files in the hipster folder those are the belt.

Also that taser is just on the belt if your looking to actually change out the taser model in your game i recommend checking out @BufordT's files for replacement taser models.

I don't use FiveM so I'm not positive but I think there is a way to use it on FiveM couldn't tell you how though.

The plain ones seems to have a nice fit. Can't find the files in EUP for them though.. I can get you screenshots of them if you wish!

Yeah pm them to me. If you can find them in game but not in the eup files they could be like the plain clothes vests I just added that aren't in the EUP files in OpenIV but they can be found in the eup create outfit menu. Pm the pics to me though and I'll see if I  can find the files in OpenIV.

Hey, nice job! I'm new here, just started playing LSPDFR. I'm not familiar with replacing textures and I'm afraid to mess with the game files. I didn't understand very well the instructions (sorry).. Could you please help me out? For example, I really liked the police small/large vest, so I assume I have to go to -> EUP Vest Skins by GrandTheftPD.rar\EUP Vest Skins by GrandTheftPD\Larger Vest\State Police - and use the Blue Line Flag.dds file, but I don't know where to replace it or how to rename it..

is it at all possible with eup to have both a vest, and radio at the same time, ive been looking, but have been unable to find one, do you know of any, or is it even possible?

I've never gone looking to find out so I'm not sure but if I find a way while messing around with the vests I'll let you know.

I think there's a vest model that has a radio on the back of the shoulder but its the actual radio not the handset piece and its an ugly vest model if i remember correctly.

yea, i was looking for one with the actual handset piece, i will continue to look, do you have the link to the one you mentioned?
