EUP Vest Skins [Discontinued] 1.10

(21 reviews)

37 Screenshots

This was my first release for gtav and I've come a long way since then. It has been several years since I have even looked at this vest pack and I likely wont pick it back up any time soon due to my focus shifting to other things. There are now many higher quality options available, both free and paid, and the version of eup these were built for is now outdated.

With all that said if you still wish to use them the textures will most certainly work with the proper vest models as they utilized vanilla vests (.ydd files). However you will likely have to find those vest models and install the textures to them on your own as the install instructions are most certainly outdated for newer versions of eup.

Thanks for the support on this file over the years! Hopefully it is still useful to someone.

    EUP Vest Skins by GrandTheftPD
-------------------------------------------------------------

** The pack should work with EUP 8.0 as far as I know only install locations have changed.**

                 * I have updated the files with the new install locations.*

* Plain clothes vest was replaced by eup 8.0 but I've added it back in so it will still work just follow instructions*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My first upload to the site I hope you all enjoy!

This pack started out as a single K9 vest for my own game but due to the interest in it I decided to make a few more and share them with everyone.

- These are vest skins for EUP with lots of options for each vest.
- Included so far are a vest for longsleeve uniforms, a vest for shortsleeve uniforms, and a vest for plain clothes units with several patch options for each.

- There are patch options that will work with any uniform (police, sheriff, etc.) and Lore specific options as well (LSPD, BCSO, etc.)
              - Patch options included so far :
-Police (flag or K9, 2 fonts)/ Sheriff (flag or K9, 2 fonts, Yellow k9 unit)/ State Police (flag or k9)/ Highway Patrol (flag or k9, 2 fonts)

                           - Plain Clothes vest has 5 versions so far.

-Police, Sheriff, or LSPD with 3 patch options for the back - gang unit / narcotics unit / auto theft task force.
-I have added 2 early versions of U. S. Marshal skins as requested. These will be redone when EUP 8.0 releases.

                           - Lore specific patches have been added:
-LSPD (flag or k9)/ BCSO (flag or k9)/ SAHP (flag or k9)/ LSSD (flag or k9)/

-Shortsleeve vest only as of this update:

                                                     -PBPD-Paleto Police (flag, 2 styles)/ GSPD-Grapeseed Police (flag, 2 styles)/ SSPD-Sandy Shores Police (flag, 2 styles)/

-As a bonus I've included a Gang Unit skin for the smaller vest I planned on redoing it but until then I will share it so anyone who wants it can enjoy it.

-As always be sure to back up any files you replace before replacing them!
-Should be obvious but you NEED to have EUP installed.

-Installation Readme inside download.

Do these replace textures or add textures?

Also, where did you get those earpieces from?

The smaller vest replaces textures. I believe most of the large vests add textures because the large vest has several blank unused texture files in eup. So replacing those blank files adds more textures instead of replacing existing ones. Unfortunately that option wasn't available for the smaller vest.

The earpiece is mask #12 in the EUP create outfit menu.

Can't open them in game, also in armor option. The textures are installed in the ytd cause I see them. Don't know... between 13 and 26 there is quite nothing... could I rename them to try replace something else?

No you can't rename them and replace something else they simply replace textures for existing vest models they don't change the model itself at all so they will only work on those 2 vest models.

They should be there on armor #13 and #28 especially if they are showing up in the .ytd files you replaced. They won't be immediately visible on #13 and #28 you have to scroll through the texture options for those 2 vests to get to them. Sounds like this is probably your issue.

Have you scrolled through the texture options for armor #13 and #28 in the EUP menu?

Yes, I don't see them, but I have renamed the state police one to replace the Sahp vest. Your texture are beautiful.

Pretty sure the SAHP vest is #28 isn't it? @andreacesa You shouldn't have had to rename anything. They are made to replace blank textures for that vest so the sahp option would still be there as well as my vests.

Thank you though glad you like them and got them working 👍

Let me know if you need any more help with them.

Don't know if it's just me, but the sheriff vest looked slightly low-res compared to the other vest skins for some reason.

Looks amazing with the new sheriff vest. Any idea on a black baseball cap that I can get anywhere that signifies it's sheriff? Also, this setup may have been slightly inspired by your screenshots. I even put in the one duty belt with a taser that works with EUP I could find but it has a stupid M9 Beretta holstered that you can't get rid of, had to take it out.

Shouldn't be it was made the same way as the rest of them but I can look into it. Which one the k9 the flag one or both?

Yeah I got tired of the vanilla sheriffs back when I used to play lore friendly and switched them all over to black pants / hats instead of the green or whatever they were lol. Don't know of a black sheriff baseball cap off the top of my head but I'm sure there's probably 1 out there somewhere. And yeah unfortunately until EUP is updated thats's the best belt option we have for a taser but using the holster you have equipped in that screenshot does hide most of that beretta.

I do not plan on making an oiv because I don't know how and because it will not work as the pack grows. There are only so many texture files ( .ytd files) available to replace for each vest model (the 2 models included so far have 5 .ytds and 10 .ytds available to replace) so as the pack grows I will have more skins available for each model then there are texture files available to replace. This means an oiv wouldn't work because you wouldn't be able to install all the textures at the same time. You would have to choose which skins you want to replace the available ytd files with. I have explained this in the readme file inside the download.

They are actually very simple to install it may seem confusing if you are new to replacing textures but it is not hard at all. I would suggest maybe looking up a youtube video about replacing textures inside a ytd file if you are having trouble. It basically only takes 3 clicks in each ytd file to replace the texture its very easy.

Ey man so I hope I don't piss you off I'm not that familiar about replacing textures for the eup vests, I really don't know what to replace do I need to rename them to the right name or just drop it in? and also is there a specific install location, sorry for many questions It's my first time installing something for  eup.

There is a readme file in the download that explains it all step by step.

That's weird as far as I know that's where EUP installs for everyone nobody else has had that problem. Not sure why that would be happening but I can try to figure it out.

I will send you a PM and try to troubleshoot it for you.

Where you able to figure this out because the same is happening to me?  I only have law and order and eup menu installed.

edit: Nevermind, I'm stupid as can be. I re-install gta v and forgot to install law and order, I'm sorry.
