This modification introduces very long sirens, horns and panic modes which use varying scan stages

Each of the 4 standard ELS sirens now have a base wail which crossovers into alert, phase, yelp and panic modes

Now, emergency vehicle airhorns climb and enter an alert chirping mode when held down...

Features Hold-to-shout airhorns, HI-Lo whistles, StreetThunder, Rumblers and a brilliant ELS panic mode shout!

Extra world and NPC sirens including varients of firetrucks, FBI vehicles and boat horns

Different version siren sets also in download...

This comes with an OIV installer, OAC file and folder, and the individual sounds.

The oac and vehicles folder with this are for game version 1.0.1737

Well people, it was pretty good. I said at the start I would keep this mod alive for a year, and I basically have 😁

Thanks for all the comments and reviews!

As a final update to this mod, I've redesigned nearly 50 SFX for vehicles.  Suspension, surface type, damage, beeps and warnings, conditional sounds and more

..That's in addition to the brilliant     Scan  Superior  Siren     Coming  to  you  for  the  last  time

Thanks again and enjoy!

@Union612 Most of the time I have to export audio made from Audacity in mp3 form and write a batch convert in Wavepad to convert them to wav and in that script there is a line for Db level which everyone in the entire universe of making mods for gta iv and v seems to of forgot... except mwa. So ya bmt

That sounds annoying, well I'll wait for an update.

This siren is one of the most strange, out of place sounds that I could possibly even think of putting in my game, but--this just has some strange charm to it. The sounds are all high quality, they're very unique and overall none of them are displeasing at all to listen to. Great work.

Thanks Talloran!

When do you think you'll be able to increase the volume? Otherwise, great sirens.

Hey man!  All updated!  I've been working on getting this sounding even better. Also, listen to when you switch gears....

Hey, sorry to be a pain but would you be able to elaborate on what you mean by this? Thanks.

"Every sound will require Headroom to be edited in vehicles.oac. Open up that file with Notepad and set the headroom of every sound you choose to use to -3936, otherwise in-game, these sounds will become very quiet"

Hey thanks for downloading!  It's super easy, there are 3 ways of installing these sirens. I recommend you use the OIV file since that's the quickest.

That line means that if you do not use the OIV installer or the OAC folder install methods, you must edit your vehicles.oac file for each siren you replace.

Simply search the filename of the file you have chosen from my mod. For example AIRHORN_EQD.wav and find the line in Notepad, you will see Headroom:

-3999 is the loudest the airhorn file can be processed.

Once again just for the sake of everyone else reading, I recommend either the OAC Installer folder or .OIV package approach.

Thanks again man! Let me know how you get on

Ah ok, I did use the vehicles.oac to install, though I didn't see much of a volume difference between Version 2 and 3, maybe this is just me?

Urm could you pretty please delete your vehicles.AWC, copy a new one from base game and install via the OIV package? I don't really have anyone else who can test this

Was just about to get back to you, after I restarted my game a few times the volume of the sirens increased. GTA is an odd one!

Hey, what's new with this version? Is it just the OIV installer?

(edited)

Sorry, just updated a screenshot and some description text, but the OIV installer is great for anyone reading!

What was this most recent update?  If you wouldn't mind, can you please start using the "what's new" box when updating so we know if we need to redownload or not? 🙂

...Do you know what he meant by nightclub?

Anyway, thing is this guy has like 7 of his own mods on the audio section so I just sent my back to the top of the list.

You can see if there is an update based off of the version number  -  I will never upload something without the version going up

thanks for enjoying!

@yuar23 I used a sound library to mix and basically create sirens. If you listen close to a few of them, and if you're familiar with other games and films, you'll recognize chunks 😄

Ah shit, really?! It's quiet? I tested this thoroughly - can you please ensure all the possible volumes are turned up like in game, Windows, headset. And could you also tell me if you manually installed via OAC or used the OIV? I will look into this now sorry about that

Thanks
