  1. Yeah alt-F12 is for forcing duty if you are having problems or you are testing features. It is primarily a developer function and is not likely to be a public feature. You should be using Alt-P
  2. Yes, you haven't read the support stickies at the top of this forum and until then we cannot help you.
  3. You can't just post something this ambiguous and give such little detail about your circumstances and expect an answer. Do you have LCPDFR installed? Do you have any other mods installed? When did it stop working? What have you tried to do to fix it so far?
  4. There should be a function lock key on your keyboard to disable the secondary functions of the F keys, find it and press it. Why can't you get a partner? What happens? You need to move around the game world to get different callouts. If you are in Alderny and you are getting Hove Beach calls then you have a problem but if not, everything should be fine. Press Alt-F11 to force a callout to occur if you want to test it.
  5. If I saw that coming up behind me I'd be more concerned about the fact I'm being followed by a UFO than the police.
  6. So you did exactly the same thing you did earlier in the thread but it worked? Alt-M for CPR, not sure about the pullover issue. Does it not come up with 'park up behind the vehicle'?
  7. Running as administrator didn't work for me when I had the same problem when I installed RC2, it's just to do with certain account permissionsthat don't seem to be common. I'm not sure the issue there. What I'm suggesting worked for me and has worked for anyone else seen take the same advice. I don't think he is following the thread very well though.
  8. >Run The Installer As Admin This wasn't going to fix his problem >Please ensure that your GTA IV folder is not read-only. >I do not see anything involving read only, I checked all 5 sections. He doesn't think anything was read only in the first place and I don't know what 5 sections he is talking about but there are more than 5 folders in the root directory. >Right click the GTA icon and select run as administrator. First thing he tried and still (unsurprisingly) no joy. Even if he has made the root directory folder unprotected, it's still very possible the files and folders inside commondata are read only. Unless he can prove to me that all the files inside that folder are not read only, I won't believe he has done it. More specifically I believe that the weapons files have to be unprotected. The other alternative is to not install the taser.
  9. It will work, he just hasn't done it correctly yet. He has been trying to turn off write protection for the installer most of this time.
  10. Make sure the files and folders inside commondata are not read only then stop posting.
  11. If you replace the infernus with it then I don't think it will have working sirens or a police computer. I'd recommend replacing maybe the NOOSE cruiser or the FBI car and using one of Nutt's modifications to make it spawn in traffic. Although if you really want to replace the infernus you could probably take a look at what Nutt has done and do something similar for the infernus.
  12. Generally the same places you find car skins, GTAPM, GTA4mods, GTAINSIDE, the downloads section here, etc. Are you after specific ones?
  13. Get a desktop computer.
  14. So by this same sort of method with patrol groups could you have police bikes escorting a limo around the city randomly? Or the same thing but with pstockades for prisoner transport? .. Or biker gangs riding in formation?! What have you unleashed?!
  15. I'm assuming that you're trying to install the mod, but you aren't being very clear. Make sure you the files (and folders if possible) inside commondata are not read only, run the installer as administrator and if all else fails then don't install the taser. Also this is a common problem, please ensure you search the forums before posting. Curse you Jam
  16. Oh wow that's more complicated than I thought but it would explain why everything appears to be right in the other files, they just don't show up ingame. +1
  17. EFLCTBOGTCommondata or EFLCTLADCommonData should do the trick
  18. Under flags, change the number to 0 for always clean.
  19. Nutt, I have an idea for your next project since this kind of thing seems to be right up your alley! Do you think you could find a way to get regular GTA IV to use all of the cop heads? Currently the game only uses the latino and black cop heads (4 textures) but there are a few more white cops that aren't used and I haven't been able to figure out what has to be done to get them active. I know that TBOGT uses a wider variety of cop skins but I can't figure out how.
  20. I believe Alt-F12 will open the tester menu to force duty/callouts/world events
  21. Could you try doing what I ask and then tell me how you go?
  22. Sometimes requesting forms of noose backup causes a crash. If it isn't every single time and it isn't really effecting your game too much I wouldn't worry about it.
  23. Try pressing alt-F12 to force duty. If that doesn't work, then the mod isn't activating. Try pressing tilde (`) in the left corner of your keyboard. If the console doesn't open, then the script loader isn't activating. You didn't delete these did you?
  24. To make it permanent:
  25. Watch this You should know how to activate the mod if you paid attention to the troubleshooter.
